Jan 30 - Cut File This was easier and much prettier than I thought it would be! Thanks for the challenge!! https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/jan-30-cut-file.422944/
I can't believe this is the end, wahhhh!! (I did page 31 out of order, so this is my last). I used a combination of different techniques. I clipped a textured paper to the cut file and filled in some of the different components. I replicated the file 3x times to fill up my canvas. Thank you for the wonderful challenge and cut file template!
I used the cut file provided in 2 corners, and then I made a large background mat combining a bunch of the cut file.
I put coloured papers behind the cut file and adjusted the opacity for a stained glass look. Then cut black paper with a bevel for the leadlight overlay.
As much as I want to learn how to "back" a cutfile digitally, I am just running out of time to get the challenges finished, so applied a paper as a texture to it instead.
Love this. I gave it a 3D edge, but will use the color technique you taught us in the future for sure. I love how this makes a simple page - it's just enough! I even made a double spread. Thanks to both you for hosting and SWL for the lovely element!
Thanks for the wonderful cut file! Can't wait to try it out on my silhouette in a near future! <3 I added gesso on mine:
Thank you for the challenge and tutorials on ways to use cut file! And thank you to Scrapping with Liz for the lovely cut file.
