Journaling: This is me. I love the way the filters look because they make you look flawless. Behind the filters is the real me. The one that feels aged. I feel that when I see my aged areas that I should be able to grin and get through them yet I find myself not able to overcome them. My depression lingers and my being alone is stronger. I feel like I can’t sleep. I have numerous nights that I don’t sleep at all. I find myself turning to work more and more. I don’t realize how much of a workaholic I have become until the paycheck shows that I have worked over 125 hours in one pay period. But work is the place where nothing matters but my attention on helping others to keep me hiding my depression and sadness.

not easy to take a selfie ;-)

 

I use myself often on my pages. I don't have children and I'm not particularly close w/family members. But I love this art form. I consider myself more of an art journalist that uses the scrapbook form rather than a memory keeper. Its been interesting reading peoples comments about using oneself on pages. Creating pages is sort of an art therapy for me. If that makes me self absorbed. So be it!

This was pretty challenging but here's my take! Thanks for pushing me out of my confort zone Cheryl!

Journaling says: As far as I can remember, I've never liked seeing me in picture.
Could that be the reason why I became a photographer?
I don't know. What I do know, however, is that nothing could have pushed me to make a selfie! And yet, Cheryl, with her "youer than you photography challenge" succeeded! Here I am!
