My paint strokes are quite hard to see on the web version, you can see them most around the trees. Hope it's ok that I duplicated and stroked the photo of my girls to have it be a little more my style. If that's not ok I'm happy to remove for the challenge, please let me know:

this is exactly what I did - put the paint on top of the photo - use opacity a couple times to see my picture if I had to. Flattened it all together. Then cut off the edges. I couldn't figure out any other way that allowed the texture to stay.

I LOVED this challenge! Thanks for a great technique and THANK YOU NICOLE for that fabulous Paintstroke kit!!!! From the Kit, I used: Gesso Paints 1, 4, 6, 7 and 8. Some of them are in color, others with a multiply blend mode.

I didn't know if I could apply a filter to the photo so I did two versions: MOC8 Painterstoolbox by NBK Design -Paper-canvas over the photo with Color burn and as background -Paintstroke 5 with Soft Light -Gesso paint 1 with Linear Burn -Mask with some of the paintstrokes PNG

I have no idea how to do this. I had a difficult time finding a photo it would even work on. All I can say is, I tried!!! I used paint stroke 3 and 4. Gesso paints 7 and 8. I also blended the photo with a linear burn. Thanks to NBK for the lovely Paint Stokes kit! That was very generous!
