I'm hoping this meets the requirements. Honestly, when instructions are given in Photoshop terms, I hear "mwah mwah mwah" because it means nothing to me. I used the canvas paper, gesso 1, 5, 7, 9 and paintstrokes 2 & 4. I used a canvas filter on the photo as well as blending it. I also applied a color gradient to the photo and to one of the paintstrokes. I did add a mask layer.
I used R. Jefferies tiny problem template I installed the NBK brushes and used paintstroke blue; gesso paint brown and paintstroke paint and I used the oilpaint paper
What a fun challenge. I used the paint strokes ON my picture and also on my layout. Here's the black & white picture that I started out with.
@Dalis I had to create this in Artisan 5 since I don't use PSE or PS. So used the canvas as the background, gesso 6,7,8 and paint 2,3,4. I hope I did it right with what I have for tools
I appreciated your "breathe in, breathe out" instruction for this one Dalis haha I loved challenging myself and learning something new. The paint strokes were so much fun to play with! I love how my page turned out. Thank you Nicole for the free goodies!
Here's mine. I used dynamic brush, gesso and paint stroke from kit then used a NBK artCrush paper to add even more paint. Thanks for the challenge.
I used on the photo - Drop 2 on bottom of skirt (dots on skirt)--The skirt is made with paint strokes red brush. The belts is made with paint stroke 9. Paint stroke 1 is used for sun image-upper right of photo. The whole photo is blended (multiply) with paper canvas.
Thanks for the fun challenge Dalis and for the freebies NBK Design! I used the following from the freebie: NBK MOC8 Paint Strokes by NBK Design: 1. Canvas paper 2. Paint sroke 10 3. Gesso 8 4. Paints troke 4
I used the canvas paper, paint strokes 1, 4, 3, gesso 1, 8, 7, and brushes (both in a mask and on top of the photo) Jan 27 2020 Paintstroke Picture by rdutch posted Jan 27, 2020 at 6:42 PM
Thanks for a fun and challenging prompt and thank you to NBK Designs for sharing the mini-kit. I'm still a novice at brushes but I look forward to learning how to use them more and more. I used the Gesso Paints Brown brush, the paintstroke gelb, and the paint stroke blue brush.
First of all a big thank you to Nicole for the fun kit.... Lots of things I will use again and again.... I wasn't quite sure where to start with this one.. Everyone seemed to jump right in , to me painting with texture is just that... Texture, not color ... so I was thrown by adding color... I wanted to add texture to my photo and nothing more.. I ended up masking the whole photo and painting it back in with a variety of the brushes... Then I took some of the paint and gesso from the other folders and blended a few of them here and there. One paint smear went on top and was blended with Divide which turned it white... and some of the Gesso pieces I tucked behind the edges to extend them and blended them till they looked right... As I have said,... this is my sort of challenge and I had a ball playing with it...
Thank you for the kit! This was a tough one, hope I did it right! I used Paint Strokes 3, 5, 9 on photo, 2 on background paper and canvas paper. I painted my main photo then cut and added a clear photo of Nolan on top, hope that is ok. My main photo is all paint-stroked.
I would have a hard time saying exactly what I used where, but the canvas paper, gesso paints 2,3,4 & 5 + some of the paint brushes. I created a mask from some of the paint strokes and used a multiply blend mode on that so that the canvas paper would show through the photo. I added paint stokes and the gesso paints on top with mostly hard light blend mode and some reduced opacity.
On all of my photos I used: 1. Oil Paint Paper with Linear Burn blend mode and opacity reduced to 48% 2. Canvas Paper with Multiply blend mode and reduced to 41% opacity 3. Gesso Paints #8 with Soft Light blend mode at full opacity 4. Paint drops #1 (paintstrokes) used as is with paper clipped to them
This is not my usual style but I finally was able to get a layout done with my limited supplies as I'm new here. I used two papers and paint stroke 5 a number of times.
