Hi everyone and welcome to day 24 of MOC! You have been busy this month, flexing your talents and learning new skills while you scrap beautiful pages for your albums! Don't lose steam now because we have just a week left to go! Today's challenge is a Full Page Challenge. This is close to my personal scrapping style, and I love using lots of papers and elements to create a page filled with fun bits! This is a bit subjective, what constitutes a 'full page'. But for this challenge, we're going to have to wing it a bit! Your qualifying layout will have over 50% of your surface area filled with layered paper pieces and elements. I've scrapped two pages to show examples of what constitutes a 'full page'. These pages are pretty different but they both are full! The rules for this challenge: Create a layout with at least one paper and as many elements as it takes to fill over half of the page. Use any number of photos or even photoless--your choice. Using one large photo as a background will not count as filling a page. Template use is allowed, but if your template isn't well-adorned, you'll need to modify it. If you create a pocket - style page, be sure to still place elements inside or on top of the pockets to stick with the spirit of the challenge. Here are some tips (not requirements!) to fill your page: Use depth and texture: think strings, curly ribbons, foliage layer, layer, layer! paint, graffiti, and scatters add lots of big, fun details journal cards take up plenty of space and can double as titles/word art negative space is still allowed! We're just working with less of it If your favorite kit doesn't have enough elements to fill a page, think outside the box! You can create a cluster and then duplicate it, use bigger photos, or mix and match kits for endless element choices (sounds like a great time to dive into my BYOC stash!) There is no quantifiable rule here but a visual challenge: does over half of your page look "busy"? If it does, you're on the right track. When in doubt? Add a few more elements! Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Pages must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers). Pages with just photos and/or journaling do not count toward your MOC pages.
Thank you for the early post, what a great way to start my morning. will Pocket page style layout will be ok for this challage ?
I appreciate the early post too. One night I did it all before I went to bed, but other nights of “early postings,” my subconscience took over and I had dreams about what I would create! So THANK YOU!
I second that, thanks for posting early, it really makes a huge difference on my side of the world to wake up and have the challenge ready.
Yay! Now we're talking! My scrapbooking mantra is "When in doubt - add another embellishment".... Thanks for the early post @Lena Gardner ❤️
Oh yah! @Lena Gardner I'm so glad to see your challenge. As a member of your CT team you know I'm all about LAYERS, LAYERS, LAYERS. I'll be back. @Lena Gardner here is my take on your fabulous challenge
I Am All About The Layers...More Layers...Even More Layers Anyone??? Covering My Page!...Yippee!!!!!!!!...This Is Right Up My Scrapping Heart Alley!......
Thankyou @Lena Gardner for this challenge which inspired me to scrap a recent photo I captured with my simple little Canon camera ( not a DSLR which I wish I did own)
Lilach, I think pocket style could be okay for this if the page is more than just photos and papers inside pockets. Because the focus of this challenge is using many elements to visually create a full page, I think with pocket pages you could add elements inside the pockets or on top of the pockets to still get the same effect. I'll add this to the rules in the post. Thank you for the question!
@CarolynJoyce77 this is a great example of how a pocket page fits inside the guidelines of this challenge. Thank you@ @LilachOren make it your own, of course, but this is what I have in mind for a "full" pocket page.
@Lena Gardner I just posted my layout when I saw your post , I have made this page.. if its not ok let me know and I will do another one
This is wonderful. The perfect mashup of tidy and orderly that comes with pocket scrapping and the quirkiness that comes with a full page style. Thank you!
