I think I understand what you're asking. Hope this answer is clear: you can duplicate anything you want as long as in the end, there are five unique botanical items somewhere in your layout. So you can have three of the same pinecone (for example) as long as you also have four other botanical items. Hope that helps!

Edited to add: actually, the layout right above this one illustrates what I mean! :) She chose five unique botanical elements and used them multiple times in her layout.

Finally done! When I first read this challenge, I thought, "That will be fun and easy." Then I started looking through my kits, and it didn't take long to realize that if I wanted more than foliage, this was going to be quite a challenge! It was still fun and I got a page done, so thanks for the inspiration!

This was harder than I expected. Can you believe I have over 1,500 flowers in my stash but only 3 of them are real? Leaves were easier. My search for "twig" came up with that leafy twig and about 5 other results that were all drawings or fabric. And I have only these real pinecones and acorns. There were a couple other fake ones.

    For my botanicals I used
    2 different leaf pieces
    2 different woodsy bits
2 different wood slices (I stamped the date on one of them, but that would count as an additional item I guess)

Reddish leaf (top), yellow leaf (left), and acorn - Welcome Autumn Kit by Mommyish
Smaller green leaf (left) - How 'Bout Them Apples Elements by Mommyish
