I like "clean and simple." This is about as simple as it gets. But, when I printed this off, I put a thin pale blue stroke just inside the border of the page to "ground" the elements. I think they look like they would just fall off the page without it.
I always drool over the clean and simple layouts, but I find it sooooo hard to do. Did anybody else spend an hour just choosing between every "neutral" background in their stash (for me, how many shades of almost white, slightly tan, light gray do I have to "try", to get the perfect one).
Love Clean & Simple but it isn't as easy as it looks! On my page: Background paper (hope it's subtle enough) Field Notes Sheet Flowers Tag Staple Quote
Once I decided on a picture, the whole page fell together. This picture was perfect for a clean & simple page. And we were so tired of looking at the camper!!
Thanks for the fun challenge. I usually pile it all on so this was a refreshing change. 1 photo 1 journal card title (yum) paint (white stars) 5 elements: red flower, bead scatter, two thumbs up wa, must have arrow, red stars wordbit
Here's mine Includes one photo with frame (captured was part of that frame) as well as the five elements are: wordstrip x2, string, flower and confetti). No journal card or paint included on this layout. Thanks for the inspiration! <3
I LOVE the look of clean and simple. However, when I try it myself it NEVER looks right to me. I look at some of the other layouts and I'm amazed at how great they look with such a small amount of items. Thank you for the great challenge. I'll keep working on this
Can I just say that this was really hard? I used to be a clean and simple graphic scrapper, but once I went piley and artsy, I have a super tough time going back to clean and simple. I wanted to add so much more!
Ah, I knew this was coming. I never scrap like this unless I have to. It feels wrong to leave so much blank space! On a positive note, though, I appreciate the break from more complicated pages!
