Thanks for this awesome challenge! I loved getting inspired by this new technique and I will definitely use it again!
You can have what ever sizes and shapes you desire - they can be different shapes too. It's up to you!
your positive attitude and willingness to learn new steps is awesome Vivi - so glad you could learn how to do this in PSE just as easy as your old program!
sure. some have done that - as long as i can still see that those cut out pieces are the same pattern i'm good!
I received a lot of tags/PMs while I was sleeping last night and working today. If I comment on your page - you are good! I'm going to work through as many as I can now. Thanks for your patience.
software gremlins? quirky programs are no fun! did you try the tips to rasterize/simplify? where you on the paper layer (layer that was to be cut?) in any event I'm glad you showed that PSE whose boss and found a work around! way to go!
Here is mine... I actually liked how it came out, but my feeling is that most people did not do it as you had expected it to be done the way. Most have done it different... since apparently they have been accepted , I did one , what I wanted to make it as I liked it ... I hope it passes your inspection... let me know if I kneed it to need to do it again...
I'm not sure what you mean by "as I expected it" - I was actually looking for and expecting lots of different takes on the challenge There was a lot of leeway on shape choice, # of cuts, doing cut outs or a whole page cut up ... the page didn't need to look like mine or the examples to still fit the challenge. You have a PP with cuts from that pattern placed back on the page with a bit of shift (offsetting) and it all makes up about 95% of the base/foundation. There's some other paper peeking through (it was fine if you left it white too!). You then finished off the page in a way that made you happy! It's exactly what the challenge requirements asked for! Yours looks great and I'm not sure why you think everyone created something that doesn't fit the challenge expectations? You are absolutely fine with how you did this - it's beautiful !
Here is my layout: I don't think I have ever scrapped with such a busy paper! That is what I love about MOC8! It challenges me to scrap outside my comfort zone and end up loving the results!!
I decorated on top of my cutouts too b/c well, it was too empty for me otherwise. Lol... I hope that's okay? If not I can easily remove the extra hearts and stitching! @jenn mccabe
