@jenn mccabe If I have more than one cutout on my page, do all the cutouts need to be same shape and size? For example: can I have star and heart cutouts? Or just one shape?

@cfile I Really Appreciate Your Help With The Instructions...But I Tried This 5 Times & It Doesn't Work...I Got The Patterned Paper In & Then I Added The Solid Paper & Dragged It Up To Create Another Layer...I Moved It To The Bottom Of The Patterned Paper...It Looked Like Yours...I Then Opened & Got The Shape In The Bin & Then CTRl On Element Layer & The Marching Ants Appeared Around The Element...But Everytime I Try This The Shape Lands In The Middle Of The Page & I Can't Move It Anywhere Or Around...So I Tried The Rest Of The Steps Anyway & When I Hit The Via Cut Option Nothing Happens...The Element Is Still There Stuck In The Middle...The Marching Ants Disappear & No Cut Out & No Colored Paper Shows Underneath Either...I Don't Get It...

*Now I'm 2 Days Behind...I Still Can't Figure Out What To Write About For The Hindsight 20/20 Challenge...This Sucks...I'm So Close To The Finish & I May Have To Stop Now...

I cut the paper into 3x3 squares and then re-arranged the squares when I put them back. I think that works, yes?

Loved this challenge! I love cut outs but I always forget how to shadow them so that was the hardest part for me. Well, and not using a template haha

Easy once I figured out what I was doing wrong! Thank you so much for the PS Elements directions! I think I should have used a darker paper underneath and a different shape but how to add the shape to a layer was my biggest struggle. Was trying to use the cookie cutter tool and there was no way it was going on its own layer. I finally took an element out of a kit and that worked. Will definitely play with this method more. Thanks!

I found the same thing but noticed the shape wasn't on top of the paper in the layers panel. Each time I had to move the cutout so it was right above the paper then it worked. Hope this helps.

I could not figure out how to use the cookie cutter tool and get it on its own layer. I ended up using an element from a kit in the shape of the sun.

I took the idea from @SeattleSheri for the cut out butterflies. I wanted to scrap this beautiful picture of my Mama - and butterflies are my thing. Whenever I see a butterfly, I say "Hi Mommy!" and it's her hello from Heaven.

    I used:
Stitching on Butterflies: Allison Pennington "Look! Vertical Stitches!"
Blue butterfly stamp, yellow butterfly, heart button, red flower, blue flower, autumn leaves, stamped branch, paper cut, paper paint, "Life is: Feeling Grateful" Collab
Paper Frame: Little Butterfly Wings "I Am Blessed"
    Lace: "Carpe Diem" Collab
stitched down paper, Paint frame: "Life is Enjoying Days Off" Collab
heart paint stamp: "A New Me"
red striped paper tab: "Life is: Feeling Blue"
Background paper Newsprint with butteflies cut out: "It's About Time: Today"
Red background paper: "Treasured: The Places" Collab
