I had one page 100% done, looked at it and I thought that the cluster was too top-heavy, colored with red, blue, yellow, green. So I trashed it, went with this alternate, subtle shades of white & brown with some bits of red. I think I like this one better??? For my cluster, I used: 1 white crocheted doily 1 white paper doily 2 snowflakes 1 snowflake flair 1 bird sticker/postage stamp 1 bird circle tag 1 rectangle tag 1 white flower brad 4 white flowers 1 white berry branch 1 red berry branch 1 red/white leafed branch 1 wooden leafed branch 1 curly twig 1 white/beige bow 1 white skinny bow 1 white star

Q: I'm having trouble figuring out if an item fits the 12 or not. One designer calls my questionable item a word tag, but other designers call them snip-its, tag, words, stickers, phrases, label, etc. How am I to know if it qualifies when there are many names it's called?

Hi Marilyn, based on the items you called out, I would say they all qualify. The only one I'm not sure about is "phrases" since I'm not sure exactly what that looks like - if it's a word strip, then it's ok. Generally, I'm considering all of the items you listed to fall under the category of pre-made paper bits. If you're not sure if an item qualifies, please feel free to send me a message. I would rely less on the designer's description more on your observation of what the item is. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks for the challenge. I like the look of clusters but struggle with them. This thread is full of so many wonderful examples for inspiration! Love it! My cluster elements: 3 different types of leaves (green, brown & peach) 1 string 1 branch 5 different flowers (2 different teal flowers, 2 different teal flowers & a dark blue flower) 1 spoon 1 wood disk 1 metal heart
Great challenge! I love clustering! For the cluster I used: 1- envelope 2- foliage 2x 3- thread 4- pompom 5- ticket 6- confetti 7- paper ribbon 8- blue flower 9- yellow flower 2x 10- green flower 11- button 12- orange flower
OMG... I am Clustered out!!! Not my thing typically, I spent much of yesterday doing this for a challenge someplace else... In the end , I removed most of my clusters, down to my level of what works for me.. and had lots of unused clusters left over... and they can't be used here, because of course they are from another site... Sigh...... The challenge for me , will be to do a minimalist cluster and still meet all the requirements...
Cluster sits on top of the right edge of the photo 12 elements are: 1 peice of red plastic netting with rounds holes 2 String 3 red and white flower 4 white flower 5 Frame 6 corrugated banner 7 lemon slice 8 arrows 9 chevrons 10 Summer Fun flair 11 sunglasses sticker 12 bling dot Gold sequins are added BUT they don't ALL touch the cluster so I did not count them as one of the 12.

Loved working with the new collab, Fresh Start. There are more than 12 but these will count for the challenge. 4 flowers 1 branches 2 leaves 1 ribbons/bows 3 tags 1 scatters 1 banners
Thanks for clarifying. I believe it fits the pre-made paper bits as it is a word strip, but I wanted to make sure!
Hi Sheryl, no templates, regardless of type. I don't have a way to differentiate what type of template is used just by looking at the credits, so that's the rationale for asking challenge participants not to use templates
