January 15: Vellum Over Photos Good Morning everyone! Happy MOC! We are smack dab in the middle and I hope you are getting some enjoyment and some scrap challenge so far! Two weeks in already! Today we are going to be using Vellum on our pages. Vellum is a slightly translucent paper, and in real life, it's rough to the touch. It can be plain, or patterned, and it's fun to use on your scrap pages! You can use them to add dimension to your pages, trace on them, cut a shape out of them, cut a word out of them or use it to tone down a busy picture or background paper! There are so many creative ways to use Vellum. I can't wait to see how you surprise me! The rules for this challenge: You must use a Vellum overlay on your layout. You must cover at least 50% of your photo with the Vellum overlay. Only 1 photo on this page is allowed. Your page must include product from TLP store. Products Used: One Little Bird - Between Us Mommyish Oldies But Goodies Style Pack Special Elite Font Some examples from our own gallery of single photo page with an overlay of vellum, covering at least 50% of the photo: BY Simply J Designs, vellum paper over the whole photo: By Katell, vellumm paper over the photo with cut outs. : By Anne of Alamo, ripped vellum paper over the photo: By Annemieke, vellum alphabet over the photo: Remember: Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places: Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site). Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).
Reserved for Clarifications and Questions: Q: Would this count as Vellum? A: Yes, description of the product says it is Vellum. Q: Can I create "vellum" from a different paper by reducing the opacity? A: If it looks like vellum, and acts like vellum, lol, it will be accepted. I would have to see it in action, but I believe it would work.
Thanks, I’m not 100% sold that I’ll get them yet as I don’t have an layout idea yet and I’m sure I’ll probably have something in my stash that will work.

Day 15: Vellum over photos Use a vellum overlay on your layout Must cover at least 50% off the photo One photo only on the layout Use at least 75% of TLP products I used a vellum style by Elif Sahin on the photo. I used parts from All About Me, You and US. (this is the perfect kit for her wedding as her colors were mint, peach, cream and gold with a touch of charcoal gray). I used minimal elements to let the photo shine. This photo was right after he saw her for the first time...
