I fell behind while planning my daughter's birthday party yesterday. Trying to catch back up, so I am just now doing this one.

Soooo... this took me all day to make. I wanted to somehow recreate the "spikyness" of the Joshua Tree, so I added a lot of sharp things; arrows, pencils, pins, staples, and such. I built it over a photo I took of a tree to try to get it the best I could. I had no idea how it would turn out, but here it is!
This one was soooo hard for me. I could not make up my mind what direction I wanted to take it. Thanks for the challenge!!
This was definitely the hardest one yet for me! The tree, branches, leaves, and grass were all created with brushes.
I wanted to create a pine tree and I was having lots of fun...until I realized I needed to show the branches. (One of the reasons I love pines is because they can be so full.) Anyway, Justine, if you can't see enough of my cork branches peeking out, please let me know. I definitely want to follow the rules...even if my leaves were the focus. The leaves are upside-down hearts and the trunk and branches are a cork ampersand.
My tree ended up being utterly ridiculous... but I love it... it makes me smile when I look at it! trunk - tikis branches - stamped vines leaves - various leaves
