This was so much fun and not something I would have ever tried without the challenge. Thanks!! I used shades of green, yellow & red on the grid.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the Artisan instructions! I had been trying options for over an hour and a headache was coming on! So glad I checked back to see Artisan instructions had been added.
What a fun challenge! Here is my layout: For my 3 colors I used red, blue and an orangish yellow you can faintly see, but i love how it turned the ripples in the water a reddish hue!
Wow, this one was an all day affair for me! I ended up starting with a Liz template- Mini blocks 2, but can't really say how it ended! All elements are from Storyteller 2019 July by Just Jamie https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/moc8-day5-colorizedgrid-aspool6916-web.415770/
@IntenseMagic I must be stupid because I got the gridlines and the coloration in on my photo but the grid lines are on the whole page not just the photo. I spent 2 hours and a headache going through the thread and tutorials and playing around. Can I do a layout without grid lines if there are the colored spaces? I finally got the grid lines by using view-grid on PSE 2020 Thanks
Jan, thank you, this was so much fun! Technique challenges are my favorites! I used blue, pink and yellow
Well, I could not get past the directions of "Edit>Preferences, then choose Guides, Grid & Slices" as my old Paint Shop pro only has Repeat File, Cut, Copy, Paste and Clear under Edit. I had to use a photo app to make my grid. I had to hand erace the bottom corner and don't like how it's not sharp. I hope that's ok The layout tells the story of my son Elijah (who collects EVERYTHING Elvis) getting a new tree ornament from my husband's assistant manager at work. He was in shock! Picsart app (for the grid design) I did the technique a few times to get the grid smaller than the original one they offered.
I have to say, I was dubious at first- but the examples were so beautiful I can't wait to try this technique again!
Mine, finally after a long struggle with an ill-planned OS update. Both halves are separated in the gallery.
Jan 5 - Grid Photo This technique was something that I've never done before, but I'm glad I know how to do it now! All products are from Storytellers Apr 17, Feb 18, Aug 18, and May, July, Aug and Dec 19 except the word strip and cardboard heart - those are my personal stash. Thanks for the challenge! I found this really time consuming. I think I just invented a way to do this So I used the colours hues -33, -70 and 180 and adapted saturation as I liked. Nature at its best
Decided to try again without emotional investment, lol. Photo was black &white, until I started changing sections and blending in elements.
It never fails - I see a list of Photoshop instructions and I instantly clutch, thinking what a nightmare it will be to figure it out in Gimp. Sometimes it is, but more often than not it's ridiculously easy. Like this one! It's not a technique I'll use often, but it was a very good one for this photo - I've had it forever and couldn't think of what to do with it. Seven color changes (well, fourteen as there are two of each): red, orange, yellow, green blue, indigo, and violet:
