Do you? Talk to yourself that is. I do it all the time! Like this morning, I had put a hoodie on to go to the grocery store and it was way too tight at the neck. So I'm pulling it off and saying "I really just can't handle this, it's got to go"...out loud, no one else even awake, not even a pet in the room. I do it at work a lot as well. Sometimes my co-workers don't acknowledge when I actually talk to them because they just assume I'm talking to myself again So, do you talk to yourself?
OMG! So funny! Since I am alone in my house for the last month and for the next 4 month, I'm the only one to talk to. Unless you count Suri! I've been talking to her a lot, too.
It is a given living alone. The dog listens but probably doesn't understand anything I'm saying and of course, the tone of voice is different when I am talking to her. And, like my cousin says, it is a good thing when you are yelling at the refs during an Ohio State football game that no one is around to hear you!
All.the.time. I have conversations with myself, with inanimate objects, with the fur babies ... yeah. Sometimes it's just needing to hear a vice, sometimes it's just because I often seem to think better out loud/when I hear it something stated. Or, yeah, the expert advice :-D
Yes, a lot of time I do talk to myself. My husband will come inside from being out in his workshop and wonder who I am talking to.
Sometimes it's easier to talk through something...even if it means I'm talking to myself. Usually I do it while scrapping, like I'll ask myself "this paper, or that one?" Not only do I talk to myself, I also talk to inanimate objects, like the microwave. Obviously I know that it can't answer me lol, but I hate the BEEP BEEP beeeEEEEEEEPPPP! our new one makes, so when it goes off, I say, "I know, I know! I'm coming!" My kids laugh when I do it, but when a friend of DD's was over for lunch, she looked truly worried about me. She looked at me and said "You know that's a microwave, right? It can't answer you."
I mostly don't (as far as I'm aware) other than to make "suggestions" to other drivers from time to time. But all of these enthusiastic yeses make me feel better about DS, who will often have lengthy conversations with himself, sometimes even with sound effects. LOL
I don't talk to myself but I do talk to other drivers while I'm driving even though I know they can't hear me
Don't we all at one time or another? I usually do when I am needing to redirect thoughts to a more positive direction.
Never. DH drives me nuts because I never know if he's mumbling to me or to himself! Mostly I ignore the sounds coming out of his mouth...and figure if it was for me he'll repeat it?? or not.
I talk to myself in my head all the time. I do have a few phrases that I blurt out to myself all the time - Come on! Seriously! You've got to be kidding me! In fact, I say those phrases so much to myself that they are the first phrases my youngest kids have learned how to say.
