Happy DYD everyone! Are you excited about starting DYD, but have a past year's project still sitting there waiting to be finished? Or maybe, you're so excited about DYD, but it isn't December yet, so you want to make an album for a past year to fill the gap? I fall into the latter category... but with a bit of the first one too. I got so excited about DYD last year that I decided to go back and make a book for 2005. That was all fine and good until Christmas events started happening and I focused on the current year instead. So now I have my 2005 book to finish up during this time period before our December/Christmas events begin. Thankfully, the first thing I did when I started last year was to put all of the photos onto templates... I don't have a lot of photos from that year and sadly, I remember very little of the stories behind the photos beyond being able to label the event. But on the plus side, this should be a piece of cake to wrap up! If you have a previous year's book to finish up, remember that it is ok to let go of what your plan was for that year. Done is better than unfinished and unprinted. My 2013 book sat unfinished until this summer because I was attempting a true December Daily book and had forgotten to take photos a few days throughout the month. This summer, I decided it was time to let that go, I wasn't going to be able to time travel back and get those photos. So I put fun word art (see some options below) on those blank pages and sent the book off to print! This is such and exciting time with so many fun new products in the store to play with. I never finished 2015, it’s when I got pregnant and had morning sickness so I don't have enough for a 20 page Shutterfly book. I want to start it from scratch and do it different, maybe using some full page photos to fill in pages.
This challenge is perfect for me! I have so much to catch up that sometimes I think I'll never finish, but well, there's always a beginning for everything! (These are from last year)
