    Hello

Did it already happened to you that you overwrote a psd file and got angry about yourself? With PSDT Files this never will happen

Watch this video and this will never happen

@AnikA68 Great video Astrid. I didn't know that. I have a habit of always using "Save As" and it automatically has me chose the file type so I don't override the original. I never new the file extention .psdt so thanks for sharing :)

I think it happened in my whole scrapbook "career" once that I overwrote a template, because the mouse slipped from save as.... to save. I´m always faster than my mouse and I´m always in danger *hahah*

Thank you for the tip Anika ...
I usually try when my psd template is open to give it a new name and save it in the folder with the layouts of the month ... but I've also forgotten it (more than once) and oops ... psd template was overwritten ...

That's a great tip! I'd never heard of the .psdt file type.

I almost always use the tiff version of templates to conserve on file space. I've definitely overwritten a few times, but thankfully have been able to use the history palette to save my work using 'create new document from current state" and reverting to the original template at the top of the palette and re-saving. It's always the worst feeling when you overwrite!

I can see the use of this for when I make something like a siggie or some type of multi layered thing I've created myself. I KNOW I've gone to use such things and then inadvertently saved it as a .jpg. Thanks for the info @AnikA68

Here is another explanation tutorial... (which also make me 'get' the difference between a .doc and a .dot)
