My 48th birthday is on Sunday and it got me thinking about how old I'm getting, so in the spirit of getting old finish this sentence. You know you're getting old when...
You know you're getting old when you go to the other room and can't remember what you went there to get. I'm also sad to admit this has happened when I've opened a new browser tab and can't remember what I was going to search for... hehe!
You know you're getting old when ... you're in a grocery store and they play your "jam" over their tinny speakers. Who knew I'd ever hear alt rock while shopping for cereal?
This! I am so out of the loop on who the cool groups are right now, but my hubby stays up on it so we can keep track of DD (13)'s music.
You know you're getting old when you notice you start sentences with 'back when I was your age...', & the kid/s roll their eyes, reminding me its not the first time I've used that phrase!
When you can't find your glasses and they are on top of your head. Or you put on a pair of glasses and don't realize that there is also a pair on top of your head. Happy Birthday, Kayla! Mine is tomorrow. You also know you are getting old when you have to stop and figure out how old your going to be!
Happy Birthday Karen! I've done the glasses one and I did have to stop and think how old I was going to be because my hubby is 8 months older than me and he's been telling people I'm already 48 like him... the old fart... hehe!
Happy birthday! I hope you have something fun planned You know you're getting old when you get excited to buy a 6 pack of reading glasses so you have a pair in every room (that doesn't include the 4 other pairs I have)!
It happened to me a decade ago and now: phase 1, around 30: you realize that all soccer players and policemen look like kids! phase 2, right before 40: a) you have several medical appointments, and b) all doctors are younger than you... Bonus, a mix of kid and grown up: you still eat ice cream in mid October, and you're so happy that it's 50% off at the grocery store! And happy early birthday, Kayla!
You know you're getting old when you have to take some ibuprofen both before and after doing something physical like my weekly bowling league. Happy Birthday, Kayla and KarenC!
You know you’re getting old when you can apply for “full retirement age” social security benefits ... my first benefit check arrives next month, lol!!! Happy Birthday!
