Life took a turn in October 2017. I stopped scrapping altogether. I couldn't look at my photos anymore. I couldn't take new ones. I'm finally crawling back out of my rabbit hole. My TLP alerts are at 12,847. LOL... seriously though...has anyone taken a really long break and then gotten back into the scrap-habit?

You aren't the only one who has had to take a break from digi scrapping . . . in fact, there was just someone who posted this week that they are coming back to digi scrapping! @mlpieters I think you'll find getting back into PSE is like riding a bicycle - you still have all the information stored, but it might take a few tries to get back to your proficiency level! Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions!
welcome back! i also took a long break from scrapping. i was a traditional paper scrapper and then just stopped for several years. not on purpose. life just got busy. and now i'm back and learning all about digi scrapping. loving it so far and love tlp!

Yes! Maybe not 100% but after scrapping a lot from 2007 to 2012, my scrapping dropped to nearly zero for several years and I didn't return to my prolific scrapping until 2015. That time period I wasn't scrapping, I was focused on studying photography and business. Now I barely ever touch my DSLR and I got a new job and though I completed MOC and Love Our Designers, I've stopped doing the monthly challenges. But I feel like I'm going to get back to photography again someday, and will always do some form of digital scrapbooking, even if not prolifically as I have at times. Welcome back!!!

well, I took a few years off from scrap too, and then I came back slowly...it's weird in the beginning, but I was so happy to see that I remembered a lot of shortcuts from PS, it was cool to scrap again! welcome back!!
First of all... welcome back! Second... yes! If you look at my gallery, you'll see a gap from 12/09 until 1/13. I took a three year break. Project Life was big in 2012/13 and that's what coaxed me back in. Working with templates was a nice easy way to get started again.
Ama....so good to hear from you...it's been a long time!!!! Scrapping is like riding a bike, you never forget, you just get a little wobbly for a bit until you get accustomed to it all again. Welcome back!
Ignore the alerts. Let it go like an old email inbox! Welcome back! In my not so humble opinion breaks are a fact of life. Cooking break? Go out to eat. Kid break? Hire a babysitter. Life break? Go on vacation! Scrap break? Call it a creativity break. Come play this weekend and have some fun!
