Good gravy! The next batch of books snuck up on me this time! We need to pick out some new books to read together. And... I'm REALLY hankering for a good fun and easy or really engaging book! Help! :giggle

Anyone who likes to read is welcome to join in and make a suggestion and I'll keep track of them here. Once we get 10 recommendations, I'll start a new thread to vote on the top four.

Let's keep it to one suggestion per person for now because when I do the poll I can only have 10 choices...

I will keep this thread open until September 23rd or until we get 10 recommendations to vote on. Then we'll have to do a pretty quick vote too!

So... what should we read together next?

    1. The Couple Next Door
    2. How To Walk Away by Katherine Center
    3. Dear Wife by Kimberly Belle
    4. The Last Days of Night by Graham Moore
    5. The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes

feel free to bump this off the list of 10 if there's more than 10 suggestions this time round, but i added this to my bookshelf recently https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28815474-the-couple-next-door
    - there's a sticker on the front that says it's the most talked about thriller of the year (my copy says 2017 and has a blue cover but looks like it's from 2016 on GR) so i don't know if that means a lot of people would have already read it and it certainly doesnt look like it fits the fun and easy bill but sounds like it should be available in libraries

I’ll be back with my choice later, I need to think about this. I do love the first suggestion, that one has been on my radar.

I just started reading Michelle Obama's book this weekend -- I think that was TLP's March book choice -- and I've only read 9 books of my Goodreads goal of 19, so I'm feeling kind of behind and have no suggestions. But I'll vote!

I'm going to keep recommending The Last Days of Night by Graham Moore. This has been a book that at least two of my book clubs have read and everyone has enjoyed it, learned from it, been astonished by it.

I have this on my hold list at the library- it's soon to be a movie I guess? It's also not released yet- but would be good for later in the year maybe?

I've hardly scrapped or read since putting our house on the market, packing it all up, and then moving 1000 miles to Florida. We've been here a month. I need to get back into some sort of new normal routine. I have no suggestions for a book, but I welcome whatever is picked.

Ok... so I totally dropped the ball on the voting thread... this week just got away from me... but since we only have 5 books and they are all ones I wanna read anyway, I'm just going to start a thread for them all and this will take us through February! Thanks for the great suggestions everyone! I'll get those threads started next! :agree
