I would love a summer kit that has NOTHING with going to the beach!

I live in the countryside and have a good lake nearby to swim in but there are no exotic birds, shells, dolphins or palm trees around here.
I want ordinary fishes, cute birds, leafy trees, pines and spruces! Blueberries and raspberries, red squirrels, hedgehogs and foxes....

    A girl can dream, right?

Can we also have brown squirrels and maybe cardinals? Some ice tea, or something a bit stronger in what looks like a YETI cup. LOL!!!! (I believe an ENTIRE kit could be created with the possible contents of a YETI cup. LOL!!!!)

@cinna I grew up in Michigan and our beach was Lake Michigan...which also has no dolphins or crazy shells (*maybe* a Petoskey stone, depending where you're at). Anyway, I agree. A lake kit--not a seashore kit--would be lovely. The store may have more but the closest I could find is Kristin's Outdoorsy: On the Lake.
She has a fishing AO too, which has "normal" fish in it. :)

Me too, living in South Africa we can have sunny days in winter too.
Sunny Christmas kit would also be awesome, without a tropical vibe, just warm/hot.

I love the idea of a lake/river/pond kit, not beachy/ocean themed.

Hmmmm... this makes me think of camping/outdoors kit. Though for those you might be hardpressed to find a bathing suit. But it would include birds, fishing, leaves, lakes, rivers and such.

I was thinking that camping kits might work! But it would be fun to have a specific summer themed kit around those ideas as well. We just spent the day at the creek yesterday.

Ha! ITA. We go to Lake Michigan where there are no palm trees or seashells to be seen. :)

I totally get it. We lived in Michigan for many years and honestly, a beach is a beach. There are some magnificent beaches in the Great State of Michigan!!

So glad I'm not the only one who thinks of the Great Lakes when they hear "beach." :beat

we live in the middle of Britain - no sea or ocean or beaches here. We travel to the sea on the Welsh coast during the spring (too expensive in the summer). Summer is castles, woodlands, rivers and gardens.
