Can you believe that it is June already? Half of the year is gone!!! Besides it being June, it is also time for another month of challenges! I wanted to host the Scraplift challenge this month, and thought it would be fun to scraplift a Polly! It is real simple!! Choose a Polly and have fun perusing through their gallery, choosing a page to scraplift. If you take a look at the PollyWog Gallery, you can choose a polly and page to scraplift from there, or if you are not sure who all the Polly's are, once you spot a page there, you can go and directly look at the particular Polly's gallery. However you choose to pick your Polly to lift, just have fun with it. I will say, it is going to be hard to choose a page to scraplift, as there is a multitude of gorgeous pages there!!! As I went looking through (ashleywb)Ashley's gallery, I found this lovely page of hers called Natalie. I loved the clean and simple scrap with all the white space, the use of the large alpha and the small journaling box. It was just a wonderful page to lift! .. and here is my page: Remember our monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the June Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see which Polly you will lift, and how the Polly Galleries inspires you!
Wonderful lift, Christa! What a big job it's going to be to pick just one of the Polly's layouts to lift.
such a wonderful idea und your lifting page is so very yummy and gorgeous! I lifted this one from Christa- thank you, Christa! my page:
Wow, that gallery is seriously inspirational. Must remember to visit more often! Finally chose this one by @Sokee Here's mine
Thanks for the challenge Christa, I could go on lifting all day! I chose this one by @MiekSter and here is my page:
My current plan is to scraplift this one by Iowan: I like the photos on each side of the page in their own little clusters. Here's my "loosely" lifted layout:
As I was enjoying a morning in bed with my carafe of coffee (thank you, Captain Romance!), and perusing the Polly galleries, I kept landing on Christa's layouts, thinking, "this is me!" So my lift is inspired by several of her layouts, but I will claim this one in particular. I hope the inspiration is clear--small subject in the midst of a vast setting. I was also inspired by the stacked frames challenge by nbk last month, and especially a LO by Dady (https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/beauvoir.395725/) where the central focus blended into an illustration on the outer edges. Thank you for this challenge. It helped me more closely identify "my style." Scraplifted from Christa (cfile)_ https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/peaceful.391348/ AND inspired by Dady at The LilyPad (https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/beauvoir.395725/) Here is my version: https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/06-19_s-l-of-cfile_saltflatssketchplus_fulllayout.396583/
I'm lifting this one by @sucali. She shrunk the template, while I enlarged it and added a photo spot. Mine -
I am scraplifting @jesskab (I love my chica's pages! Fell in love with this one and noticed it was a cool template... so WHY NOT! right??!?!) HER AWESOME PAGE: My messier version of that! LOL!!!!
finding layouts in the Pollywog Gallery that I don't think are by Pollys - maybe designer CT members instead. This is going to be a bit more complicated than just picking something from that gallery. Not a problem, except I really struggle to choose .....
I think if it is in the pollywog gallery the person may have been a guest Polly when they posted.. that should be through Dec 2018 .. Angela let me know if there is a question or a page you want to lift and I can confirm for you.. there also may be older pages of Polly’s that may not be here anymore. Again if you have a question re a Polly and what page you want to lift I am more than happy to help. Thank you Barbara @Sokee for tagging me
