My 17yr old daughter Mei would like to participate again. 1) USA 2) Anywhere 3) Summertime for Mei and Fireflies/Bonfires for me 4) one for each of us
1.) USA 2.) I'm fine with anywhere but if there are any tips for mailing international, I'd love to know them. One of my letters to the UK came back to me despite that it was mailed properly (from the post office). 3.) Surprise me 4.) I can do 2 and if so I'd love one of each theme if possible
Kat, this is why I'm leery to send them out of the country. I've gotten two or things back, and one package took months to surface. I was so upset because it was a baby gift for a scrapping friend in Singapore. The only tip I have is go to one of those Mail Stations. They'll make out the foreign shipping labels for you and I'm sure they take extra care as opposed to the USPS. We have 2 of them very close to our house.
I think I can handle June. I missed doing these. 1. USA 2. Would prefer US, but will mail anywhere if needed. 3. Summer 4. 1 letter
When I mailed one to Anne-Marie in Australia the mail clerk asked a lot of questions about what was inside. I used a flat padded 8.5x11" envelope. After describing it to him, he marked it as "documents" so that there would not be a custom fee due upon receipt. He said he was trying to verify that I was not selling something to someone, as then there would customs due. He did warn me that they might open it and decide to send it back to me. When I mailed one to Rikki in Europe, I again made it nice and flat and told them it was a letter with a plastic folder. She received it just fine. I know the size and shape matter. I would try making it look like documents.
1.) USA 2.) for this first one, I'll stick with USA 3.) Fireflies&Bonfires - then Summer 4.) I'll start with one this first time
For INT'L mailing - I always check off GIFT and then just put "scrapbook" as the description. Mine are chunky so I know I can't get away with calling them documents. I keep the value really low - like $5 or $10. I figure it's not like it's something that can be replaced if it goes missing. I've never had mine returned - knock on wood. 1. I live in the USA 2. willing to ship anywhere 3. Summer is first choice, but fine with Fireflies, Bonfires too 4. could do 2 if needed
Last call !!! June partners will be announced tomorrow afternoon - I have an early event and will be home in the afternoon.
