I know how beautiful that Hudson Valley view is. Lucky you! My office window looks out to a crabapple tree and a bird feeder hanging from a branch. Right now the leaves are just little tufts of green but, in a few weeks, that tree will be covered in the prettiest blossoms!
If I look out the front, I see our neighbors house, which is directly across from us. Most of the time, I look out the back because we have all doorwalls in the family room and the lanai and pool are right outside. My computer faces a wall, but I have a big canvas print I did of the Sanibel Lighthouse to look at.
Our window blinds are usually shut across the front of the house when I'm home alone. If hubby is home, we will open them up across the front. We do this because I had a solicitor come by trying to peddle something and when I didn't answer the door, he stepped sideways and peered into my living room where I was sitting! The nerve! Anyway, it creeps me out when I'm by myself. Our view out the front isn't great anyway. I mean, I love our front yard, but it's basically a view of the houses across the street. When I'm on my computer, I'm facing a wall with four 12x12 layouts framed above it. Most of the outside view I get from our bedroom, our kitchen, or the sliding glass door in the dining room. Hubby has made a lovely little spot out there.
It rained last night so my view is greener than ever and I have some flowers popping out on the fence pots!
