It's not official respite, but it's effective respite. Both TJ and her brother have been hand picked to be part of a National Children's orchestra residential workshop from the 16th - 19th April. It's fully funded, and the sponsor is paying for a medical specialist to accompany them both on the journey south and throughout their stay. Today I'm putting a care plan together with their doses and response profiles etc in so that Ms F can look after them for me. We will discuss their care needs in a meeting on Monday. I'll have 3 nights without having to get up and down doing medical procedures.
oh this makes my heart sing for you! May you have restful sleep and your children! what an honor also! I am buzzing for them too!
That's great, Angela!! I hope that you get some amazing and wonderful uninterrupted sleep!! You certainly deserve it!
Congratulations Angela to you children for that fantastic honor. I am so happy for you that the Sponsor was able to get a medical assistant to accompany them so that you will feel comfortable about them going and that you will get a rest .. woot woot... Win Win for all and you get the double dose of win win with the pride of this for your children. What a terrific opportunity!
Congrats to your musicians! How fantastic for them and also for you. It'll be a nice break, for sure, and what a wonderful opportunity for them!
It'll be good for them too, I'm sure! Enjoy your three days!! And, I hope they have the best experience!
Congrats, quite special for them, I do trust they cope and all goes well. Yay to you having a respite, do fun stuff for yourself and sleep in.
That is great news! I hope you enjoy your rest. What an honor for your children. I pray they have the best of time and that their health remain free of any issues while they are gone. This is so excited for all of you!
Congratulations to ALL of you!! What an honor for them and that's awesome that they'll have a medical professional with them. You won't have to worry and I hope you relax and try to catch up on your sleep while they're gone. This is wonderful news!!
What wonderful news Angela. You must be so proud, rightfully so! Now, just sleep sleep sleep! It's so important.
The meeting went well. Mrs F has the same level of training that I have, and previously accompanied TJ on an orchestral trip to Sweden. The children have been sent a copy of the music they will be playing. It's easy for them. The note that came with it says that they don't expect them to need to practice the music in advance, but would like them to be familiar with it so they can be sectional leaders and mentors for the less experienced and younger children. So proud of them both to be picked for those roles.
