Hello & Happy March! Welcome to another month of challenges, and this month I am happy to host our photography challenge. I love photography, yet I have been slacking in my photo documenting recently, so I decided to challenge myself this month and capture something that is meaningful to me that may not be so obvious to others. And that would be flowers! I love bringing fresh flowers into my home year round and you can always find a bouquet (well - more like 3-4 bouquets! around my house). They brighten my winter days and are something that I just simply enjoy! So it was time that I capture that aspect of my personality and document it. Now it is your turn - your photography challenge this month is to photograph something - an thing or object - that is meaningful to you and create a page with your photo! *this needs to be an item/thing/object - not a person or animal* Here is my layout with my photos that I scrapped using designs from this month's BYOC from Sabrina's Creations, Designs by Soco, Sahin Designs, and Rachel Jefferies. Have fun playing with your camera, capturing images and scrapping them! Remember our monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the MARCH Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
@lcpereyra - can the photo have a body part in it (eg: feet in shoes, with the shoes being the meaningful item)?
okay lol I live in the mountains of NorthCentral Pennsylvania and all there is, is snow, and more snow, and there is more snow forecasted for the next 10 days *sigh* but there is light at the end of the tunnel... spring will arrive, as did the crocuses *smile*
For this challenge, no. All photos on the layout should meet the requirements and not have people/pets. For whatever you choose to save and print at home, you can add whatever you want after the layout is shared here.
Not for this challenge. You can take a photo of the shoes - maybe find a new way to see them or stage them and photograph from a different angle. But there should not be any evidence of humans/pets in the photo. Think of the challenge as more of a "still life" type of photo.
Fun-I just happened to take some photos yesterday of my succulents, I'll come back with a layout later.
