I just wanted to share some recent fitness success with all of you! My daughter is almost TEN and in March, for the first time since I birthed her, I got below my pre-pregnancy weight! I spent a few months running at the beginning of the year, but running was just not for me. I didn't enjoy it... okay, I kind of loathed running. Unless I am doing a runDisney race and there is an amazing medal at the end, then I just don't have a desire to run. Plus, I injured a muscle in my leg and it has been a bear to heal. Since late April, I have been doing yoga. I have been using the Yoga Studio app along with a few other resources and I am LOVING it. I truly love doing my yoga sessions each day. I am doing a variety of things including strength, relaxation, and flexibility. I can feel myself getting stronger and toning my body as poses that were impossible to me in the beginning are now happening. For the first time in over ten years, I am truly happy with my body. Yes, I would like to lose a few more pounds, but if not I am perfectly happy with where I am right now. I feel strong and I feel good. This is a recent picture (taken at a wedding in June) and my husband and I... and also my daughter who is within three inches of being as tall as me I love these pictures and just felt like sharing (because I will probably not get around to scrapping it for forever).
Your story is so inspiring! It must feel so cool finding what works for you. And I must add that you are a beautiful family! I think I need to try yoga too, because going to the gym just isn't for me. Right now I'm 4 pounds heavier than the day I birthed my daughter... (and I'm eating ice cream as I type )
Congrats. What a wonderful accomplishment! On a side note, I (for some reason) thought you were super tall!
That is awesome - I'm struggling to find something/get in my groove (haven't found it yet, lol!). Congratulations on your success and feeling strong too! Your look beautiful!
That is so awesome! Big congratulations to you and you look fabulous! It's so hard to find the right fit sometimes for getting exercise, but I love when something just clicks and works!
Oh my gosh- I looooooove ice cream. Which is one of the reasons I enjoy exercising- I want to be able to enjoy things like ice cream and not feel guilty about it!
Tall and me are NEVER in the same sentence unless it is describing whoever I am standing next to I am 5' 1/2" (that half inch is important!) and my husband is 6'3"!
Darn right that 1/2 inch is important..... We are the exact same height (Although my hubby is only 5'9"). You look Beautiful. Stunning photos, you have to scrap them! I feel your struggle. With my first daughter (10 yrs on July 27th) I gained 60lbs and only lost 35lbs after. Then had our 2nd daughter (7yrs this past March) - gained 25lbs and only lost 10 lbs. At one point 3 years ago I weighed more than the day I gave birth to her. Just as I got down to my comfort weight - I got pregnant with #3. I've managed to loose 25lbs after having our 3rd, but still have about 10lbs to go. Best of luck with reaching your goal - but honestly you look amazing!
Beautiful photos! And congrats on finding something that works so well for you and sticking with it!! Such a great accomplishment!!!
