I’m down to just over $50 which is still probably about $20-30 too much and there’s a couple of designers who I want to check (Jaimee being one) once their stuff is up before fully deciding

@bestcee Yep, transferring back up data on to a 250gb EHD (it’s all I have currently) and manually moving it. Backblaze was going to take 47 hours for 20gb. In about 6-8 hours I’ve transferred 180gb!

Gotcha. Is that because of internet? Or something else?

@bestcee I’d say it’s most likely internet speed that’s causing it thanks to being at the bottom of the world. It’s not too much of a huge deal as I’ve still got access to my hard drive on my laptop - it just takes time.

@bestcee, I’m excitedly nervous about it all but think it will be well worth the change because of how much better things should be.

I think it will in the end. New computers are always hard for the first bit until you get everything where you want it. All the programs and such.

I’m lucky that my friend did some of that sort of thing for me. I’ll still have to do most of it on Sunday.

Sometimes, you just have to take a break. I took all of 2021 off from scrapping and painted instead. The break refocused my energy, and now I’m so excited to scrap. Take a guilt-free break if you need it. <3

@londoncuppa its just hard knowing it’s what I should do as scrapping is my happy place so it would leave a hole for a bit.

@umyesh I think they did but I think that of most of my interviews to be fair so I'm not sure my judgement means much at this point

@londoncuppa, it didn't crash but took an awfully long time cause I was moving over 25gb of PRD's stuff out of my TLP folder

Oh man! Can you save it separately, and use compliant stuff? Then you can keep the original, but use it like a template by sticking compliant stuff over it.

@bestcee i kind of did that so still used the same photo so all wasn’t lost. Don’t love the layout that came from it now but another challenge is done.

That's okay! If you saved the original, you can keep that one, and delete this one after MOC is done.

I don't know what keys to use on a PC, but on a Mac, it's opt+cmd+r to see the new version. Maybe try opt+ctrl+r.

@SeattleSheri thing is it’s the same issue on my iPhone which makes me think I didn’t change it correctly like I thought I did.

well turns out I hadn't waited to see that it was uploaded properly so all I was doing is "reuploading" the original. Problem solved and the right one is showing now

Thanks, I'll keep plugging along....think this morning just everything got a bit much, family had been in hospital last night, I was dealing with government departments and doctors then I get a phone call saying I'd be invited to a job interview in person on the 31st....luckily I've convinced them to change it to an online one - less risk if the COVID situation changes/gets worse here

Way to keep up!

Look at some of the others that are done in all white, naybe it will give you some ideas. There are many shades and textures of white. Sometimes it just takes a bit heavier shadow to make it work right.

I haven't found anything except an alpha I want to use which is probably 90% of my problem...also the type of photos i want to scrap don't have a tonne of embellishments anyway

Hang in there Jennifer! I know you will crush this challenge when the mojo flows ... maybe do one of the other challenges while you think on it.
