It's soon to be a new year and we have some new books to read together! Hooray! :) I am posting the next few months all at once, so we can all get these books on hold at our libraries in time. :) The book we will be reading for January 2018 is Stillhouse Lake by Rachel Caine. Please label spoilers or even type them in white like I just did right here (highlight that blank space) so that a person has to highlight it to read it.

Bought the book, but I think I'll wait until after Christmas to start. Yay for book club! Thanks, Karen! @Karen

    Oh great! I’m excited!
I’ve downloaded it already but I’m still in the middle of a different audiobook.

I went ahead and bought the sequel and will probably start it when I get home from work and have to begin tackling the aftermath of Christmas. Ack!!!

I was going to wait until January to start but finished the book I was on early. I've gone ahead and bought the books for the other months too, but I'll force myself to wait and read those with everyone else.

Hope you had a great Christmas!

I finished this one at 3:15am last night! It's safe to say that I got hooked! I did have a little trouble getting into the idea of these random people in cyber space were making them scared enough to keep moving, but I think by the end of the book it was definitely written to make me feel it was realistic. and I already bought the sequel. :giggle

I have 1 and a half hours more to go in this book (audiobook). And I feel like I indeed need the sequel. But this is a very good book. My kind. I'm not much into the romance or historic stories. Give me a good thriller and I'm happy! ;)

    Wow!
This book is really amazing. Every time I thought I had it figured out, it would turn around. Gotta say that one of my first instincts turned out to be the right one though. And that ending is great. Because it did end (I hate how some books have no real ending) but the major cliffhanger will make me want to read the sequel for sure!

If you have a Kindle (or the Kindle app) and a subscription to Kindle Unlimited, you can borrow the book from Amazon for free. I'll be borrowing it and reading so I can join in the discussion.
