Merry Christmas everyone. Can someone post a link to how to give credit to layouts when we use a kit from the store?
This is how I do it. Not too cold by berniek posted Dec 2, 2017 at 10:43 PM Credits: Fiddle-Dee-Dee - Be The Joy {DD} Paislee Press - Winter Vibes {full collection} Etc. by Danyale - Weathered {papers} I name the designer and the kit/pack. Sometimes I link it, but that is not necessary. Often I also name the font and post my translated journaling. The font is something you should credit if it's a bought font, especially from this store! I don't credit fonts if it's a standerd one that comes with every computer.
Hi Renee and welcome! As Berniek advised listing the items you use is the main thing. If you want to link the product, you can do it 2 different ways. I do it this way.. for example: Designer Name | Kit Name html:code from the tool bar or Designer Name | Kit Name Then I highlight the kit name, get the code from the kit at the top of the tool bar and choose the link symbol (below noted in yellow) and put the html code in the url link area. example: Kate Hadfield | Thankful Brads https://the-lilypad.com/store/Thankful-Brads.html or Highlight the kit name, click on the link icon, put the html code in and click on insert. This will make the link highlighted and bold in pink. Kate Hadfield | Thankful Brads I always note the fonts I use too and if it is sold here, I also credit the font. Credit styles as well if you use them. Hope that helps
I always link the products for MOC layouts, mainly so I can be sure that they are still in the store. That way I have a pretty good idea whether I am inside the rules.
Linking isn't required, but Rikki's tip is great! It's a really easy way to make sure your products are in the store. Looks like you got lots of answers. Let us know if you still have questions about it. That's an awesome idea!
@mrs2a50 Julie - Will there be guest Polly spots available to win as there was last year? Thanks so much!
TBD, but I would expect so. Laura and I don't usually plan for that, but it always ends up happening that way!
No confirmation. But no worries. If someone finishes and we don't have their information we will contact them
3. Your pages must contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store). Does this mean freebies are not allowed.
You can use them, but they don't count towards the 75% requirement. Only products that are currently available for sale in the store count towards the 75% (either available for sale or offered in the store for free).
Good question @KAPOH. I've never figured out how to determine if a single freebie is now for sale here. I've always erred on the side of not including.
I usually do the advanced search BY Designer, and then if the freebie has a name on it (like a mini kit) I type that in too. Sometimes they are there and sometimes not.
If it is in the store, even as a freebie, it will count. If it's not in the store, you can use it, but it doesn't count toward your 75%, unless it's offered as part of the challenge (a template, for example)
SIGNATURE QUESTION: Photobucket is no longer an option. Is the MOC signature somewhere in the gallery, or could one be put there, for us to pull from?
