Hello! A warm welcome to the Random Challenge for August This month, I would like you to scrap something that you love about where you live But NOT your actual house! Tell us something about your local area that you love. We are a huge mixing pot of nationalities here at The Pad, so it will be fun to learn a little bit about where we are all from. Plus you get to document this important part of your life. In case nothing immediately comes to mind, here are some hints; a favourite store, walk, building, park etc an event held in your town prominent people, fabulous neighbours the wildlife the weather natural landscape a sound or a smell? a local tradition Here is my page. I chose to scrap all about the seagulls around my house. When I get back from being away, the noise of the seagulls is the thing that tells me I’m home. I really can't wait to see what you creative people come up with As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate from the Lilypad ! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
A favorite park nearby. Thanks for the challenge! I need to start focusing on the good stuff in my area.
Wow, how much variation already in where we all live?! I am truly loving learning about your area and what is important to you. Warm fuzzy feeling coming on!
Fun challenge! We live a few minutes away from the Red River Gorge, which is just full of gorgeous hiking trails and rock formations...and somehow, we tend to take it for granted - we do not visit nearly enough!
