Hi everyone and welcome to the June Style Challenge. I can't believe how fast this year is going by! This month we are going to scrap a double page. I love how easily you can include so many photos over a two-page spread and they look amazing when printed in a photo book. And don't worry, if double page layouts aren't your thing, there is a whole category of templates in the store for you to start from (here)! Here's my page: As always, please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
I love to use Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs templates for double page spreads by combining two templates from the same set. I find the common overall design, when combined with the same kits on both pages, is enough to make them look put together. Other designers that make template sets/albums that go together well are Lynn Grieveson, Scrapping With Liz, and probably some others that I am not as familiar with.
I do double page layouts 99% of the time. Thanks for the easy, peasy challenge! left side - right side -
Yay, June 1 and 1 challenge is done! I love doing double-page templates. @djp332 Love your Niagara Falls pages! Mine won't be nearly as exciting, as I was in Toronto for a conference and then only had my iPhone to capture nighttime photos, but we still had fun there. Someday I'll be back with my real camera and will look forward to visiting some of the places you've been doing layouts on!
Thanks! I find that my iPhone takes great nighttime photos! I actually prefer it over my real camera.
I scrap other people's lives (family) so rarely do I have enough photos for double pages. I love how this worked out.
