Oh thanks for your answer!! I'll talk to Santa about this one!! Do you have a wide angle lens on your wish list now?
I have the 50mm/f1.8 and LOVE it as well! Love it for taking photos in the house when it isn't really bright - the photos still come out pretty great!
I have a Canon 5d Mk II, just upgraded a few months ago from the Xti, and wish I would have made the switch sooner!! I have the 580ex flash, but dont use it as often as I thought, since I love natural light. The lens im using is the 50mm 1.4, which I LOVE, but am hoping to get the 24-70mm soon. I have the Wenger RHEA backpack that I got at Ritz Camera a few years back. my website is: www.kbimagery.com
I'm shootin with a Canon 40D. I've just purchased the Tamrom 28-75 f2.8 I have; the Canon 50mm 1.8 Canon 18-55mm kit lens Canon 28-135 IS kit lens Canon 80-200mm gotta tell ya the Tamron barely comes off the camera now. It's so crisp I'm in love! I carry all these in a Lowepro bag..
Nikon D80 Nikon 50mm f/1.4D Nikon 35-80mm f/4-5.6D Nikon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8D in my Domke F-1X bag
I am desperatly dreaming of this one every single night ::sigh:: I'm saving for it but it will take long
In my Tracy Joy bag: Canon 50D 50mm/1.8 & 24-70/2.8 I dream of going pro, but it'll be awhile before I get up the nerve.
crystal do you love your 24-70/2.8 on your 50D? can you get really sharp images? I'm curious to see some examples!
It is SHARP and has beautiful bokeh. But because it is a macro it also has amazing detail. The bokeh is also very nice and soft. It's PERFECT for newborns, portraits and small families.
In my bag: Nikon D300 50mm 1.8 35mm 1.8 Dying to get the 85mm 1.4 AND the D700, but have to save my money for this. Probably 10 years, lol...
Aaaaah it's so hard to choose!! I don't want to buy an EF-S because of compatibility problems, but I've seen that there is a great Sigma macro lens which is more or less the same as yours... so now I'm hesitating... But the 50mm 1.4 would be great for indoor pics...
You just can't use the EF-S on a crop body. YOu have the rebel and when I used the 60mm on it I was FLOORED! the 100mm macro is also a great choice, its an EF, very sharp as well. here is my wish list... all good buys! But I like PRIMES! Canon EOS 5D Mark II Body Reg. $3299.00 SALE $3099.00 Canon EF 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM (for family because its sharp and you get awesome bokeh at high apertures) Reg. $2149.00 Canon EF 85mm F1.2L II USM Reg. $2429.00 SALE $2249.00 Canon EF 50mm F1.4 USM Reg. $469.00 Canon EF 24mm F1.4L II USM Reg. $1969.00
So you too have the 50mm f1.4 on your wish list... what would you do with it that you can't do with your 60mm macro?
I have Canon 5d Canon Rebel Xti Canon 60mm marcro (agree LOVE but cant use with my 5d since its a full frame) Canon 85 mm 1.8 Canon 28-135 which I dont love Canon 430 ex speedlight My next purchase will be the 24-70L cause I need it And possibly upgrading to the mark II next year some time and keeping my 5d as a back up.
