I thought I would share my latest baby. THese are just SOOC (Straight out of my camera) and this is actually how I show my clients now. Saves me so much time. ANd then I edit the ones I like best and put them on my blog and they order what they want and i edit those. It works like magic and saves me times and $$... so here he is, he is a week old http://www.rezika.com/dominic_proof/index.html
oh well it all depends on the baby. THis one took me 2 hours because I wanted lots of shots. Mom had to feed baby half way through to get those nice sleeping ones.
Wow I can't believe those amazing pics are SOOC!!! Fantastic!! Were they taken in natural light or do you have a studio? Did you use your macro lens on that one?
Hey Rez I'm having second thoughts here... Would you mind teaching us? In a few weeks I'll have my first newborn session and I'd love to read other's experience. Would you tell us, for this very newborn session for example, what were your tips and tricks? Light, lens, aperture, accessories... I'd love to know! Hope it's not too much to ask
they are taken in my basement studio. I used one main light only for this one with a huge soft box that covered the child. Yes all are taken with my 60mm macro that I speak so HIGHLY of. It's my baby. I just posted a before and after of a family, that was taken with my 24-70mm and I had to sharpen when I edited. It is such a different quality. newborns are tricky, you have to really work with them. It is best if mom can feed baby just before the shoot so baby is happy and mild drunk. I always do newborns in studio but It's cold here so I can't take them outside and my natural light here isn't good enough but it is possible. I always use my 60mm macro for them, moms like detail. For that particular shoot with my light settings I shot CB: K 5500 at 1/80 and aperture of 9 at 1/200 and aperture of 5.6-9 But remember I adjust my main light as well so it's not just my camera I adjust. I also shoot in manual. Accessories, oh go to pier one, they have tons of baskets and blankets. And the knit hats I got off etsy and the cocoons from a friend.
