    Hello, we're getting to the end of the Month of Challenges with day 28 and I'm excited to host my first challenge here at The Lilypad!

    Today's challenge is a scraplift challenge. I have created a Pinterest board with traditional paper layouts to choose from that will hopefully inspire you in some way. All you need to do is pick one layout and let me know what inspired you, it can be anything from the design to the colors, photos or something else.

    I have always been inspired by paper layouts and when I'm stuck on a layout I will end up browsing paper layouts to get inspiration! For my layout I went pretty literal with the design. I was inspired by the big numbers in different heights and sizes and also the photo strip. I decided to make a layout with 1 photo from every month in 2016 after my baby was born.

    I used mostly the January BYOC colors in my layout
    Stories to Tell Full kit by Amber LaBau Designs
    Twinkle Twinkle Elements, Patterns and Backgrounds and Stitches by Allison Pennington
    New Leaf Papers by ForeverJoy Designs
    This Year Elements by One Little Bird
    And also: Brave New World Elements by Amber LaBau

    A few requirements:
    1. Choose a layout to scraplift from this Pinterest Board
    2. Post a link or image of the layout you chose along with your layout in this thread.
    3. Let me know what inspired you about the layout.

    That’s it! I can’t wait to see what you create!

    Rules:
    Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page should be uploaded to the TLP Gallery and not an outside hosting site. Please post your page in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store). All MOC pages must be posted in your main MOC page thread by 11:59 pm eastern time on February 2 in order to count!

    this is the layout that I took as inspiration. (based on frames- normally I don't use them, so thought that would be a bit of a challenge! The dots. And smudged with the shadows more than normal to let it look more paperlike )

    This was great! So many gorgeous layouts to choose from. I'll keep an eye on that board.

    Forgot to add. I was inspired by the cutout and the little bits and pieces added to them. I love cutouts but don't do them very often. Maybe I should.

    Love this challenge.

    I used a long horizontal photo, contrasting pop of yellow and red, wordart and some sprinkled beads to emulate the scattered letters.

    I am SUPER impressed with how elaborate those paper pages were... when I was still doing paper LO's mine never looked like that!!! I choose this one to scraplift:

    YEA!!! I figured out how to post my choice here!!! This one: First Grade by Pam Baldwin at studiocalico.com

    This took ALL DAY! When I originally picked this layout to scraplift, I THOUGHT I had the perfect photo. I was wrong. Then I looked for another one, without luck, until I found one of Davis and White on Pinterest after they won gold at the Olympics. Got the layout all done, and HATED IT. I played around with layer styles and LOVED it when I made everything gold. Then, when I was looking for the credits for the photo, I found ANOTHER photo on Pinterest from 2008 Skate Canada in which their costumes worked perfectly with the gold and had to redo the center portion of my layout. Whew. Finally done!

    Great challenge!
    Here is what I scraplifted. I was inspired by all the little circle photos.

    And here is my layout: fyi---when my granddaughter was little, she would fall asleep anywhere; she didn't care! I love the one where she is on her potty and falls asleep leaning on the toilet. We never knew where we would find her sleeping. I have one of her sleeping in mom's laundry basket but it was too blurry to use.
