Hi Everyone! I'm here to bring you a Scraplift Challenge for the 2016 DSD! Woot! We are going to scraplift ---- ourselves! But, I'm adding a simple twist. Pick a lovely layout to lift from your gallery, and include a title - but you can only choose a title if it is a piece of word art! I use word art many times to easily add the title to my layout, and get it done faster! The thinking of a title sometimes takes too long, and word art comes to the rescue! Here is the layout I am lifting, and fittingly, it also has a word art title! Here is my layout. I've used Pink Reptile Designs items - It's Not Just Black and White Elements and Papers. I've also used a template from Lynn Grieveson Designs - Life In Pictures 3, plus her wonderful bushes, Arty Mess 2. My title is the tag/word art that states "It's a Bit Complicated." I was inspired by the open space, painty mess, and single photo with a muted tone. (I tried to mute my photo a bit with the greenish solid paper blended over it). Just in case you would like more examples, here are a few more of my pages using the Word Art as the title. Note: If the layout you are scrap lifting is not in the TLP gallery, please just post an image of it in the thread so we can see what you were inspired by! ----------------------------------- This challenge will close on Tuesday, October 4th at 8 am EDT. The winner will receive a $5 store coupon. Please remember, that layouts must contain a minimum of 50% TLP products to comply with our gallery standards. Any templates used count for a total of 15%.
to clarify - we're not redoing the page we're lifting, but simply using it as an inspiration for a new page? I might have had half a bottle of wine already and am maybe not reading this correctly. LOL
I was on a roll and looked at everyone else's and think I got it I lifted this one because I loved the blocking feel of it (and no template was used! I love when that happens!!) Here's my lifted page, tilted.
LOL! That sounds like a wonderful evening... an adult beverage, and scrapping! Yes... just as inspiration. You do need to use Word Art as the title. Let me know if you have more questions!
Flipped it on it's side, and switched up the size. The Diefenbunker 2 by Juliestcyr posted Oct 2, 2016 at 1:46 AM
I'm going to let this one be my inspiration for another layout. I chose the original because of the background color but ended up doing a different color scheme. I think you'll notice a similarity between the two layouts, though.
This took a while! I decided to scraplift this layout I made last April. I turned it into a two page spread for my September layout.
I have decided to lift this one of mine: I am by klee73010 posted Oct 1, 2016 at 10:05 PM While it's slightly different, it is an AJ page, using a pre-made background, and word arts for the title and most journaling!
Is this supposed to be in a specific gallery category? Wasn't sure since it's a special challenge... I lifted this super old LO of mine Flipped it up and created this
