On Saturday we took my nieces Juno and Annika to Disney on Ice as the final part of Juno's birthday celebration. The show this time was "Dare to Dream" which featured Tiana, Snow White, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. It was fantastic! The Tangled portion was my favorite. The girls loved it. This was the first time I got to use my DSLR camera for an ice show and I will say that I am kind of proud of how good the photos turned out since I used the manual settings for the first time. I had looked at the photos from a Disney on Ice show from a very talented photographer on another site to get an idea of what settings to use. It took some playing around to get them just right, but I think I got some great photos. I need to use the manual settings more and less of the auto setting. Can I just say: What a brilliant idea!!! I would never have thought of that, but it's absolutely brilliant! Your photos are lovely!
Melissa, you saw Dare to Dream? Charlotte's coach skates in that program! I wish I would've known you were going and I could've set up a meet with her! Rachel's main character is Drusella - the pink stepsister. I'm going to share the link to the album with her, if you don't mind. She'd love seeing them! Here she is, in costume: IMG_6735 by Melissa D, on Flickr And your photos are amazing, as usual! She's in the center back of this photo: IMG_8029 by Melissa D, on Flickr Here she is with Charlotte:
I had forgotten that her coach skated with DOI. Definitely feel free to share the photos with her. She did a great job in the show. The stepsisters were quite funny and entertaining.
Rachel is hysterical and full of energy, so being a stepsister is right up her alley. Charlotte just adores her. Her signature move is to do cartwheels in the ice. Crazeeeey!
