This is a photography challenge. You must include one photo in your project. You do not need to take a new photo if you have an existing photo that matches the requirements for this challenge. Requirements: 1. You must include only one photo. 2. The photo must be of your feet where you are standing. (You must be standing, not lying down with your feet stretched out.) You can include other feet in your photo, but one pair of feet must be yours! 3. You must include the words WHERE I STAND somewhere on your page, either your title, word art, or as part of your journaling. Remember to upload your layout to the Lilypad gallery & then post your layout here, too! *** Hello everyone! I am so excited to be hosting my very first challenge during the MOC!!! I want to introduce you to a new way of telling a story in your photos! For this challenge, I want you to pay attention to your feet. That’s right, I want you to take a picture of your feet! Specifically, I want you to pay attention to where you are standing. Where I Stand photos are all about being in the moment & being aware of your surroundings, and finding another way of telling your story of the day or the memory you want to keep. You need to look around to see what elements you can include to make the photo more compelling. To me, Where I Stand photos require more creativity, but are far more interesting than selfies! For example, this photo of my Minnie Mouse costume is much more compelling than a photo of me in the costume. Also, I wanted to focus the story here on those blasted white circles on my skirt that kept falling off. I loved the colour of the ground as it was a nice contrast to my outfit. I use WIS photos frequently in my pocket scrapbooking to tell the story of my day or week: So here's my challenge to you: Pay attention to where you stand! Look for OR create interesting photo opportunities around your feet! Some tips: find your nicest or most colourful pair of shoes go for a walk, either around your house or your neighbourhood, or anywhere you are out and about today & pay attention to what's happening on the ground around you look for interesting floors or something unique to your location set up your own themes: the contents of your purse, flowers, you & your pet on your daily walk, you & your children getting for school, you in your slippers (or favourite socks) with your morning coffee, you in your winter boots doing a winter activity I have an entire Pinterest board of Where I Stand photos! You can check it out here if you are looking for inspiration! And because I'm such a nice host, I found some kits with "Where I Stand" word art for you! Pictures & Words 18 - Paislee Press From Where I Stand Kit + Journal Cards - Paislee Press Viewpoint - Sahlin Studio From Where I Stand - Valorie Wibbens (You are not required to use these kits.) Here is my layout ... Requirements: 1. You must include only one photo. 2. Your photo must be of your feet where you are standing. (You must be standing, not lying down with your feet stretched out.) You can include other feet in your photo, but one pair of feet must be yours! 3. You must include the words WHERE I STAND somewhere on your page, either your title, word art, or as part of your journaling. Oh goodness! This sounds like a challenge my brother would come up with! LOL He loves to take pictures of his feet. I think I have more pictures of his feet places than I do of his face! LOL I think I'll have to take one tomorrow since I don't think I have any others of my own feet. LOL
Hmmm, you could work that into the challenge somehow ... "Here is where I stand on the issue of socks with sandals."
oh i have a few photos to choose from for this that i havent scrapped before! and thanks for the links, u r a very gracious host
Oh my gosh, not kidding. A friend of mine posted some weird knit sock thing on facebook. It's so you can wear flip-flops year 'round. Eew!
Have to put my thinking cap on for something different. Why didn't I get one of my shoes when I did the photo shoot?
What no crazy journaling? I kid! I kid! No not really... I can handle this! I have some feet photos already. Hubby and I actually started taking feet pictures while on vacation. Then we switched to shadow pictures. Fun Challenge!
Does the pic have to be a selfie? This challenge might not fit my MOC album unless I can use a standing picture from those photos. I can always do one for 2016 album too. Maybe I will do both. Sorry for thinking out loud. But I would like to know about the selfie. I have a chubby tummy that gets in my way.
This one should be easy peasy because I have quite a few feet photos, and also shadow photos. Love taking these kind of pictures. Already know which one I am going to use. Yeah. I didn't know they were called Where I Stand layouts. Learn something new every day.
Ooooooooh no, not feet...............the thought of seeing bare feet is making the hair on the back of my neck tingle.........eeeeewwwwwww.......off to polish my boots.
not my nicest shoes but i don't hike in heels... let me know if this is not ok -it's one photo but i duplicated it to use as part of the background so the photo would be big and stuff given it's a photography challenge, and the words are in there and they're my feet
