This is a photography challenge. You must include one photo in your project. You do not need to take a new photo if you have an existing photo that matches the requirements for this challenge.
Remember to upload your layout to the Lilypad gallery & then post your layout here, too!
Hello everyone! I am so excited to be hosting my very first challenge during the MOC!!!
I want to introduce you to a new way of telling a story in your photos!
For this challenge, I want you to pay attention to your feet. That’s right, I want you to take a picture of your feet! Specifically, I want you to pay attention to where you are standing.
Where I Stand photos are all about being in the moment & being aware of your surroundings, and finding another way of telling your story of the day or the memory you want to keep. You need to look around to see what elements you can include to make the photo more compelling.
To me, Where I Stand photos require more creativity, but are far more interesting than selfies!
For example, this photo of my Minnie Mouse costume is much more compelling than a photo of me in the costume. Also, I wanted to focus the story here on those blasted white circles on my skirt that kept falling off. I loved the colour of the ground as it was a nice contrast to my outfit.

I use WIS photos frequently in my pocket scrapbooking to tell the story of my day or week:

So here's my challenge to you: Pay attention to where you stand! Look for OR create interesting photo opportunities around your feet!
Some tips:
And because I'm such a nice host, I found some kits with "Where I Stand" word art for you!
Pictures & Words 18 - Paislee Press
From Where I Stand Kit + Journal Cards - Paislee Press
Viewpoint - Sahlin Studio
From Where I Stand - Valorie Wibbens
(You are not required to use these kits.)
Here is my layout ...

Requirements:
1. You must include only one photo.
2. Your photo must be of your feet where you are standing. (You must be standing, not lying down with your feet stretched out.) You can include other feet in your photo, but one pair of feet must be yours!
3. You must include the words WHERE I STAND somewhere on your page, either your title, word art, or as part of your journaling.
Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Please post your page in your page thread you created in this forum. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers.
All layouts are due by 11:59 p.m. on February 2.

So here's my challenge to you: Pay attention to where you stand! Look for OR create interesting photo opportunities around your feet!
Some tips:
- find your nicest or most colourful pair of shoes
- go for a walk, either around your house or your neighbourhood, or anywhere you are out and about today & pay attention to what's happening on the ground around you
- look for interesting floors or something unique to your location
- set up your own themes: the contents of your purse, flowers, you & your pet on your daily walk, you & your children getting for school, you in your slippers (or favourite socks) with your morning coffee, you in your winter boots doing a winter activity
And because I'm such a nice host, I found some kits with "Where I Stand" word art for you!
