WELCOME TO MOC4! I am so excited to open the 2016 Month of Challenges! Your first challenge is the Blind Scrap, an inspiration challenge. You should be inspired by my list of instructions, and your interpretation of those instructions, to create a page that is unique to you! Since this is a blind scrap, I will not be posting my page until AFTER MOC is over on February 2.

Below is your list of instructions. PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. Your page must follow the list as it is written. I have purposely kept some instructions specific, and some generic, so that you can interpret them in your own way. For example, since your instructions state to place ONE photo, your page should only have one photo. But since I state you should have AT LEAST two lines of journaling, you can have more than that if you wish.

1. Place a solid color paper as your background
2. Place one photo on the left side of the page
3. Place three patterned papers, in any size or shape, to the right of your photo
4. Include at least one flower on your page, placed over the patterned paper
5. Include at least one fastener on your page (a fastener is anything that can fasten a photo or paper down - staple, brad, button, tape, etc.)
6. Include some type of paint or stain brush on your page
7. Include either stitching OR a ribbon, to the right of your photo
8. Include a tag or banner somewhere on the page
9. Your title must consist of one word only, and should be placed above your photo
10. You must include at least two lines of journaling below your photo (you can include more if you want)
11. The date of your photo should be included somewhere on the page

You cannot add additional elements beyond what is listed in the instructions above! In order to make this even easier - I want to point out that no where in the instructions does it mention a frame. You should NOT have a frame on your page.

Please also remember to follow the standard MOC rules: Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Please post your page in your page thread you created in this forum. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean. You should also post your page here in this thread, and people can comment here if they wish. Pages should contain at least 75% current Lilypad product (currently for sale in the store from either permanent designers or guest designers).

You should post your page now. I will wait and post mine at the end so you can't see what my interpretation of the guidelines were.
 
very confused. wasn't sure where to post this in the gallery OR how to link this to the gallery posting. (Thank you Cath). And there was an error, so I'm trying to fix it. This is my layout for the first challenge.

OK, so just to clarify...

As long as one is on the right and over the patterned paper, can other flowers be on the left, etc

5. Include at least one fastener on your page
Is a stapler a fastener?

7. Include either stitching OR a ribbon, to the right of your photo
My ribbon looks like a bow, but is a ribbon bow and called a ribbon by the designer, does that count?

Once all the requirements are met, other elements are ok?

here's mine (was there a particular MOC gallery last year?) it's in the FJ one for now as it's mostly FJ (and does anyone know is there a way to have the same layout in 2 galleries now like we used to be able to do before the upgrade?)

Love that they all look so different so far :)
