Here's a link to my finished book I just printed... the pages that have only 1/2 printed, I cut down once I get the book... they become 6x12 spreads in my album. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0BcNXLVo5ZsmGO And here are some photos to give you a really good overall idea of how I approach my albums... I do primarily pocket style scrapping, with some 1/2 pages, some regular layouts (think more traditional scrapping), and large photo spreads mixed in. It's a little bit of everything with plenty of journaling to tell the stories.
Gorgeous! I love that you do the 6x12s in there. I would have never thought to do that, but it is great inspiration because I know I've done some 6x12s as inserts (thanks to Amy's great templates) so it will come up if/when I ever print. Also, I love the latest cover you did.
Wow, beautiful examples!!! still have a lot to learn. Here are a few of mine... (not really scrapped I guess ;-) ) http://www.albelli.be/onlinefotoboek-bekijken/12919104-c62c-44b4-a331-f5ce4bfd78ff http://www.albelli.be/onlinefotoboek-bekijken/84906e66-3af6-4cab-a612-c24ec6b49e09 http://www.albelli.be/onlinefotoboek-bekijken/6cb935ff-4385-4e7b-8952-9ae6c28b0b91
I think these are great! So many photos to look through - that will be priceless to have at your fingertips to flip through whenever you want!!
I have never had a book printed, the cost is just to much here in Europe , so usually do my own printing and lay the pages out in albums or to be "fancy " In a mini album or a shaped album cut with the silhouette. But this makes me want to do it ,if only just once, I love your journal page with the ellies, and the cut pageds are inspired.
I pay around 50 euro's for 110 pages 21x21cm (not flat). If I wouldn't have the discount, it would be 90 euro's. It's a lot if you see blurb, but they don't have the 21cm books and not planning on it either, strange, because I got an e-mail back from them suggesting I should put the idea on their facebook and I saw allready a few other posts on people asking for it. Everyone is asking the same question: is blurb reading the ideas... an answer never comes ;-)
I love your book Rebecca! I like the idea of the 6x12 pages and the double spreads, really adds to the scrapbook feel. What do you do with the cut offs? Do you have something printed on them, like book marks maybe, or mini pics for a brag book?
Honestly, I usually just print them so that whatever is hanging off would be scrap - I never thought to use it for something that could be repurposed. That's a really interesting idea!
