I have been trying to get in lots of reading before school starts in earnest. I read The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd last week and it was good. I also flew through Open by Andre Agassi, What Alice Forgot by Lianne Moriarty, and am in the middle of The One and Only by Emily Giffin. What Alice Forgot was an interesting and fun read. So far, The One and Only is okay--I read that if you liked Friday Night Lights you would like it, which I loved, so I checked it out from the library. I am finishing it, but feeling kinda bleh about it.

I just finished The Paying Guests by Sarah Waters which I really liked. The House at Riverton by Kate Morton is another one I read lately - not as big of a fan of that one, it was good but not great. I'm getting ready to start a Advanced Reader Copy that a publisher just sent me entitled Descent by Tim Johnston which I'm hearing is great ... I'll let you know how it goes!

I just finished a book called Sylvester by Georgette Heyer. Set in Regency England (Dukes, the Ton, arranged marriages and the like). Fun little diversion.

I picked up the Maze Runner and went crazy read it in one night...loved it. The 2nd one was meh...not so much, but I am on the third one of the set and enjoying it again. Not my usual genre, but it is clean (which I love), my kids can read it, and it has really good characters

I just started reading What Alice Forgot...only one chapter in, but it seems to be really interesting.

I am listening to this (Written in my Own Heart's Blood) on cd in the car. The library released it in two sets because it's so long! Almost done with the first half (18 discs) and love it as always. I have to roll up the windows when I get to the steamy bits though! Too embarrassing for the people at the bus stop to overhear. ;)
