hiya everyone! happy october. i just love all things fall. the smells, the colors, the flavors, and the dressing up. it's always been such fun to find a character to play if only for an evening. this month's journaling prompt is inspired by dressing up, but it doesn't have to be in a costume. it could be dressing up for dinner, dressing up to go to a party, or dressing up for sunday brunch. anytime really. and any outfit. here is a little inspiration from last year when i convinced my husband, mom, and step dad to dress up as characters from the little mermaid. i made all of our costumes and taught my step dad how to take photos turned to the side to show off his flounder costume. it was a great night and even greater memories. And now for the technical stuff: Your page must contain at least 75% of Lilypad product. You should post your layout in this thread, as well as in the October Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked! And of course, your page should be posted in the Lilypad Gallery so we can leave lots of love! The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete all 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first six challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the seventh challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges). I can't wait to see how you and yours "dress up".
Heather!!!! wanna come over to dress up with us? I used to do kinda same thing until Sarita was 13- then I got too unwell to make or put together costumes...did whenever I could...but would LOVE to do it again....Little Mermaid was her obssesion till aged 9! <3 love your page
It just so happens today that my granddaughter was dressing up in a colonial girl costume I made for her mother 30+ years ago. I got a photo of it so guess what I'm using on my layout....
Oh, wow, this is fun but.... a real challenge.... I'll need to take pictures for that. Should be easy, october is kind of a birthday month in the family (as november for that matter) so lots of parties!
Great challenge - thank you! https://the-lilypad.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=164720&title=love-this&cat=500
Here's mine, thanks for the prompt Journaling Reads: We can dress them up, but their awesome personalities come with us! Even in a tie and fancy dress, they are still the spirited, crazy, rambunctious kids we love!
phew, this one made me think! Journaling: "you were dressed up so, so cute for mass and I just had to snap a photo. right at that exact moment, you spit up all over your cute church outfit! womp, womp."
