What's the last new piece you got?

Why am I asking such a weird question, you might wonder...

Well, we finally got our new couch this week! :woot

Our old one was torn in several spots, and missing a leg. Not only that, we threw it out Jan 4th. So we've been a month with NO couch. lol

Our new one is so comfy and wonderful I might never move again.

I'm not sold on those cushions. They came with it. I didn't even know they came with it until the guy carried them in. :giggle
 
Um... New new? I think it was the couch and overstuffed chair we bought when we moved into our house almost 11 years ago. The last Craigslist re-purposed furniture I got was the desk I bought the day after Christmas for myself. :) I'm rather addicted to Craigslist and will look there first before even considering buying anything new. :)
 
It's been a long time. I can't remember if the most recent was my husband's "desk" (table) or the girls' bunk bed. And that right there is about half the furniture we have. :giggle It's a small place so we don't buy stuff unless we really need it. I'm super jealous of your couch! We have a sofabed out of necessity. It's not awful, but it's not awesome either, at either being a couch or a bed.
 
I just recently had a big spend up on furniture. I purchased a tv cabinet, coffee table, side table, buffet, couch and 2 chairs. I have to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery :waiting
 
Oh man Kaye! Waiting that long after buying so much fun stuff is just torture!
 
New couch & comfy faux leather chair. Our furniture was getting bad!
 
We got a new couch in January. It's nothing too special. I refuse to spend money on nice quality furniture until DH has retired from the military and we are done moving.
 
I have been begging for a sectional lately - love that Angie!! I am SO SICK of our leather furniture. It's cold in the winter time and Gus has scratched it in places.

Anyway, although the last furniture we bought was a headboard, nightstand, dresser and book shelf for Jake's room (a year ago, March 2013), before that we bought a new bedroom set for us (finally!!!), a new kitchen table and chairs set, and a new bureau thingie when we moved into our current home in April 2012.
 
I got all new furniture for our great room in January. Twice. I hated the first round of stuff and sent it all back. LOL Thankfully, I love the second set - a cream linen couch, large gray velvet ottoman, 2 side chairs and a side table with a mercury glass top. Now I am busy accessorizing, which is my favorite part.
 
It's been a couple of years, but over the last 5 years (when we moved here) we've essentially replaced everything in the house - master bedroom, living room (twice), dining room, kitchen eating area. Our old master bedroom set went into the spare room. The only room we haven't redone is the den, and that's not for lack of trying. John just can't find another desk he likes as well as the one he as now.
 
The last furniture I bought was for my scrap room (desk, cabinets) but they were used The next new furniture I'll be buying will be a new living room set but have to wait until our pup is a few months older b/c his sharp little teeth and claws catch on everything.
 
Ooohhhh...we just got a new leather reclining loveseat and sofa!!! I LOVE them!!! So comfy, so much more modern than the last couches!
 
You could always make your own covers or find cushions in the same colors as that painting above the couch with the red tones in it Angie :) It's a nice looking couch though!!
 
We just got a new couch and matching recliner in early December! The couch reclines on each end, too so I'm loving that!! :)
 
NEW NEW, hmmmm... does the console to put the TV counts? That was 2 black Friday's ago or was it 3?
 
I don't like those paintings, either. They were good until I bought that rug and now they don't go. LOL
 
The last furniture purchase we made was a bunk bed/dresser set for our boys' room. I am hoping to shop for a new living room suite soon. The sofas I currently have are pillow-backed, and my kids seem to find it great fun to watch mom pick up and arrange the pillows a million times a day.
 
I went on a mini furniture shopping spree in January, lol. I was straightening things at work and I found these white closet organizers that are usually $30 on sale for $10! So I organized the playroom:

On a trip to a second store to get more organizers, I stopped at IKEA and found a really large coffee table for $40! Our new house needed a much bigger coffee table than the old house and I was totally excited for that find! (And the best part is, since it was so cheap, it doesn't matter if the kids get crayons or whatever on it...I can buy a new one every year for that price, LOL!)

And finally, a year or so ago, our box spring got broken and we had to put our bed on the floor. We'd been saving to buy a house and didn't have any extra money, but FINALLY a few weeks ago, we got to get a new bed!! I'm so happy about this, sleeping on the floor is awful!!

That's the first furniture of any kind I've purchased in years! I have to start decorating the house now, but I'm totally overwhelmed!

I honestly can't remember ... I think it might have been the new bedroom furniture I got when I was pregnant my now 12 year old because I couldn't get out of the old bed without a push or pull from my hubby :giggle
