Hello everyone ^_^ I'm Juliette - I'm in the UK. I've been married for four years to my awesome husband, Nick, and living in a small town called Eastleigh with our rebellious cat, Shylo. I've never done any 'real' scrapbooking but I do love glue+glitter+crafting. I started digital scrapbooking sometime around October and now I just can't get enough, and I can't seem to tear myself away from Photoshop! Lovely to meet you all, and to be inspired by you all!
Love the glitter too! and the addiction to digiscrappin is just to keep on! Love that you are here...play and enjoy and welcome welcome
Thanks Rachel! He's called Shylo for two reasons - we'd just watched 'Repo: The Genetic Opera' before we got him and the main character is called Shylo... and, Shiloh means 'his gift'. I was recovering from a bad time in my life when my hubby relented and said we could find a cat at the rescue centre, so Shy has always felt like a little gift to me
Welcome welcome Juliette!! It's always good to see another Brit here! I'm in Cheshire (although originally from Herts).
Welcome Juliette I love glitter too I glitterfied myself this weekend with craft projects, and it seems I still have glitter on me.
Welcome Juliette, NO WAY, you have only been scrapping since OCT? Please tell me you have a design background or have used PSE since you were a baby... LOL!!!! What I mean is YOUR PAGES ROCK!
Thank you so much Dalis... I'm afraid it's true - I looked back through a load of my layouts last night and the first was 6th October! Until mid-November I was using CS3 and Picassa (to organise my stash), but I got a great deal signing up with PS CC on their monthly payment plan so I'm now using that and Lightroom 5. No design background here, as much as I wish there was, and by day I'm a project assistant at an international engineering consultancy firm! I feel like I still need to learn a lot about shadowing... at the moment I'm not using saved styles for shadows because I've not quite got myself in a groove of what I like best for which type of elements and stuff, but I think I've made some steps on that in the last two weeks. I'm hoping to sort myself out a set of home-built 'base' shadow styles that I can then tweak for the individual layout, good job Christmas is coming because I can immerse myself in it as my away-from-the-office project over the holidays. Thanks for such a sweet message, it really does mean a lot being so new to this 'game' ^_^
welcome to the pad Juliette!! I too was a CS3 and recently did the cc + LR5 deal from adobe. So far I love it... glad you have found the pad, and try the month of scraps beginning 1/1/2014 you really get a good deal of scrapping done, it is fun and the pages everyone does is so great to look at!!
