The spirit of the LOD event isn't a traditional challenge, but rather just a fun way to scrap with products from an old fave, or try a new (to you) designer. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the uniqueness of all of our Lilypad Designers! Today I have a little twist, with a template challenge, if you want to participate in that way

I asked Nini to share a little more about herself in a little interview:
Where do you call home?
Japan now but my forever "heart's home" is Britanny, in France.
Who makes up your family?
It's just hubby and me. No pets because of my allergies and that breaks my heart.
Which came first, scrapbooking or designing?
Scrapbooking. I stumbled upon freebies in 2008 I think and discovered this world and got hooked pretty fast and furious.
I started designing in 2010 if I remember correctly, and here we are.
How long have you been at The Lilypad?
3 years, a month and a half. I officially started with MOC 11, January 1st (note MOC did not take place in 2025). Anita of Designs by Anita gave me a push and I was lucky enough to be accepted and get in one of the greatest forum and store out there. Such a proud moment for me.
Do you think you have a signature style? (I love to hear how designers view this about themselves!! If yes, tell us what that is to you...if not, maybe mention colors or themes that you tend to repeat, or if you love to make papers or elements most tell us that...or that you focus on the storytelling
)I always have a hard time to define how is my style but I would go for what is in my logo: "a cup of fun, a little bit of clean, a pinch of style". I think I can get silly in my designs at times but I also can get pretty clean and stylish other times. It certainly depends on the theme I am working on. But I would say mostly traditional on the clean side
What is your favorite product/kit/item you've designed?
I love my recent collab with Lynn Grieveson, Wabi-Sabi Collection, because of it's Japanese influence and the fact that I went a bit more artsy than I usually do. It's nice to try things outside your comfort zone sometimes. I also like the softness and peaceful feel of my Misted Light Collection. I loved making those patterns above all.

What occupies your other time?
I bought a bicycle because I need exercise, but because of my bad knees I can't walk for long. Riding doesn't hurt, so I want to go along the river or the canal not far from here. Unfortunately, since then it had snowed, then it was too windy, still is. I am waiting for a little better weather to start riding for more than 10 minutes (like I did last time
). Between April and December I go to a pottery class once a week but again because of my bad knees it has been difficult to go and walk around much, so I might take a break this year until I have a little more muscles and less weight on my knees 
What special power would you like to have?
100% teleportation for sure. I live too far away from my family in France and seeing them is very challenging, financially above all so teleportation would be a a life savior.
Which board game do you like the most?
I use to love Monopoly when I was a kid. Now when I go to France and play with my family we like to play Uno, Triomino (google it, it might be only in Europe) and one that I use to play with my granny called 1000 bornes (super Frenchy card/board game). I even bought the game to bring it here in Japan to play with my guests kids and teach them a French game.
Dining out: pizza and a pitcher -or- fancy 5-star dining?
It actually depends on the occasion. We went to some fancy teppanyaki restaurant for my 50th birthday and also our 20th anniversary. But usually I like casual. And I loooove pizza so...
Do you collect anything?
I used to collect stamps but since I lost many after the 2011 flood of my apartment it became to painful to continue. I also have some miniatures perfume bottles but I haven't bought any for a long time now. I guess now I am mostly collecting Pokémons in my Pokémon GO app. Takes less space
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate chips mint. But I love many others too. Pistachio is one of them.
If you had the opportunity to live abroad for a year would you go?
I AM abroad already, but yes I think I'd like to go to Korea and try to study a bit so I can communicate more with my inlaws (we have a lot of nieces and nephews) before I am too old and senile
