I'm so excited to be a host again for the MOC challenges. We are almost half way through. Can you believe it? The month seems to just be flying by.

Music often plays an important part in people’s lives. Lyrics in a song can often remind you of a moment in time and can transport you back to a particular memory. Music and lyrics can also create a mood. They can make you feel joy or happiness. Have you ever found yourself just humming/singing along to a tune? Music and lyrics can be bittersweet. They can also be therapeutic and sometimes even heal the soul.

Your challenge today is to create a layout which includes lyrics to a song. Your song lyrics should be from a recorded song. The way you use the lyrics are totally up to you. You can use them as your title, a quote, or part of your journaling. They can hold special meaning for you or relate to your photos if your layout includes them.

You don't need to include a photo on your page. If you prefer, you can create an art journal style layout showcasing your lyrics.

For my layout I scrapped photos from our wedding. Our wedding song was I Cross My Heart by George Strait. Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of our wedding day and of course my husband. The lyrics hold a special place in my heart.

Cynthia aka @MrsPeel also created a layout!

Requirements:
1. Scrap a page that includes song lyrics from a recorded song.
2. You must include the name of the song and artist in your credits.

Other Requirements:

Your page must be a new page in order to count for the Month of Challenges. Your page must be posted in three places:

1. Uploaded to the TLP Gallery (not an outside hosting site).
2. Posted in your page thread you created in the MOC Layouts Folder. You should have one post per completed challenge page. If you complete all 31 challenges, your thread should contain 31 posts. Please do not comment in the participants’ page threads so we can keep them clean.
3. Posted in this thread. People can comment here if they wish.

Your page must contain Lilypad product (pages with photos and font only do not count). Product from other stores will not be allowed for MOC; your pages must contain 100% Lilypad product (current or retired product from designers or guest designers presently selling at The Lilypad).

Thank you for this challenge! MOC really makes me dig deep - will end up totally depressed by the end of January. :giggle

There's this song that's on the radio all the time right now in Sweden. It's about a really bad relationship, and it reminds me of my ex-boyfriend. Decided I needed to scrap bits of the lyrics with a photo of the two of us. This photo is perfect, he enjoyed photography, and this was before digital cameras, but he really did get this amazing double-exposed photo of the two of us. In hindsight, it's such a great depiction of our relationship. Not really there, still we were happy and in love at times.

I've translated the lyrics in the gallery. It's brutally honest, and there are a couple of "bad" words. Did my best to make it justice.
