I hear you - me and printers don't play well together. I worked on mine for an hour last evening and gave up. My hubby gave me his and it refuses to work for me. Grrrrrrr - I really have a great dislike for printers. I told him to put it back in his office and if he could get it going, I'd just come in there. I think it might have died.
I hear you guys - that's why I suggested you could even send the order in to a print shop. If your project can be a photo you can get prints super cheap. Colored paper copies here run a little more about a $1, but still pretty reasonable. If you have to send out I would try to minimize how many prints you need for your project But you can definitely opt out - no pressure!
