We love meatballs, they get called Frikkadels here too.
Swedish are good, and a tomato based sauce with spaghetti is good too.

@jk703 I doubled the sauce so I’d have a little extra for my rice

I’m going to have to try some of these recipes!

We usually have a meat sauce with our spaghetti so no meatballs. I do love Swedish meatballs tho

Meatballs is a sort of staple in Denmark. But home made with " proper" meat. ( NO hard grizzely bits at all ) As in ground ( minced )beef or pork or a mixture of veal and pork. Fried ( frikadeller like the Swedish ones , sort of ) Boiled or steamed large in sauces and stews ( as in Celery stew, or in tomato sauce, and real small mini ones in soups and as filling in other stuff ( those people buy ready made , they are fiddley_)

French onion soup is my FAVE so I'm definitely giving these a try...

We LOVE Asian flavors, so I'm adding this to our list, too.. :)

My boys love meatballs, me - not so much. EXCEPT, I recently tried the turkey & pepper meatballs from Clean Simple Eats and they were delish! (I prefer mine in a sub than with noodles.) We also like a recipe my mom makes called Country Meatballs, or something like that, that basically cooks them in with beef & veggie stew then pour the whole thing over egg noodles. It snowed today - ugh - so this would make a perfect cozy meal for the weekend.. Hmmm...

I didn't know that Wednesday was meatball day. Randomly, I made Italian meatball soup that night! Yum!

The only meatballs I’ve ever made are Swedish meatballs. Well, I am from 100% Swedish heritage, after all! I don’t make them much anymore because I can’t eat them. Sigh. IKEA does have gluten-free salmon balls that are amazing, so I do but them at Christmas time.

But I do grab bags of meatballs from Trader Joe’s to have on hand for a quick meal to fix. They’re easy to add to just about anything.
