What would you ask for?

What's are the top few things you want designers to put MORE of in their kits?

:attention:funfun

For me it's flowers and foliage. I want them all not just 1 or 2
not multiple in the same style & different colors.
Give me variety and LOTS of it.

I like them in a kit but if they have a foliage add-on pack that coordinates I can work with that

a few standards, things needed for a speed scrap, like staple etc. when we like to use same kit for whole layout. or some standard put in every kit, changing, so we find under same designer the part

hand drawn and painty stuff, colorfulness, masks to clip my photos to . . .

If I may say this, to be concise: I need someone to replace Little Butterfly Wings for me.
YES MA'AM!!!!! I have enough flowers to last my lifetime, lol.
I would also ask for COLOR- happy color- brights or midtones. Enough gray, drab neutrals, pastels...Something with some power. We've all had enough dark dingy days. Think LBW & Studio Basic, but in your own way!

Not so much what I want more of, it is what I would like less of... the color pink. Hot pink, neon pink, bubblegum pink, etc. as the focus color in a kit. But I don't mind pastel pink shades as accent colors. I've gotten to the point I don't even look at kits that have a lot of pink in them especially as the main color even if it is a theme I'm interested in. There is a whole world of color out there. Give me something besides the usual combinations. How about something in purple, red (look up Red Hat Society) and black that isn't theme focused.

More boy - trains, cars (not driving), building.

But #1 wish? A good kit for museum visits. I have so many photos with old type museums (Old Canada Village, Pioneer Villages, Turn of the Century Mills) and I'd love a good collection to go with them.
Maybe another one that's great for children's museums - also something I have a ton of!
How about architecture? I love to take photos of interesting old buildings.

Yep! Another type of museum... air & space. I have kits that I've been able to use but a space themed kit that isn't kid focused would be so nice to have. I mean I have photos of the 50th anniversary celebration of the moonwalk from 2019 that I need to scrap. Not everything was kid-centric during that celebration.

I completely agree - hand drawn and painty stuff, colours and the masks for photos...
and stitches - a lot of them...
and more specific, themed elements - I don´t need bunch of what about flowers and foliages in every kit, but like - how to say it - harmonized elements in a kit - if there is e.g. bracken as a "physical" foliage, then another (bit different) as a stamp, another as a handrawn element...

Journal cards :-) Especially some general, non-theme specific ones. I've been trying to do a traditional project life album this year, and I have been struggling HARD already to find those basic cards that there used to be so many of when PL first started. Even just a couple of general "remember this" or "memories" type cards in a themed set would be helpful!

I agree with @HavaDrPepper about pink. I don't hate pink, but it's not a color I gravitate to in my scrapping. I can see how it would be fun to work with as a designer, but it just doesn't have much practical application to me personally (even though I think it looks pretty in kits).

I have a standard list of things that I look for in kits.
  • Non floral unique elements
  • Paint / stamps
  • Stitches
  • Fasteners
  • Frames
  • Background papers with subtle patterns
  • Papers with unique patterns
  • Unique flowers (not reuse of CU flowers over and over)
  • Foliage & twigs
  • Paper / fabric bits
  • Alphas
  • Scatters (beads, sequins, etc)
  • Bows
  • Ribbons / ricracs
  • Word art
  • Buttons/brads
  • Tags (for dates)
  • Journaling strips (please leave enough space at both ends to tuck under stuff :))
Plus nice-to-haves:
  • Butterflies
  • Doilies
  • Banners
  • Strings / threads

Maybe this won't be appreciated, but since we are discussing--- when a designer makes the same t hings in every kit but only varies it a little, like- all those pennants/banners, generic shape leaves slightly varied, flairs, bows ( :faint2) or recolored flowers/papers;once I see that reoccurring in kits, I pass.

I gravitate toward UNIQUE items- things you don't see any where else, from any other designer. Think outside of the box. That would be great!!! AND how about some copper??? Has anyone taken note of how prevalant copper is today?

You know what I would love to have? Straight stitches. Sometimes I just want a nice straight line of stitches.

Some things I never use: banners.

I'm with Tracie on the journaling cards since I'm mostly a pocket scrapper. I definitely gravitate toward kits with JCs and sometimes won't buy unless they are included. I agree that general purpose is better or, if themed, at least ones that are mixed a bit. If you are doing a weekly PL type spread, it's hard to use an entirely "I hate Mondays" themed set of JCs, for example, as much as I love the theme. Also, JCs that can be used horizontally or vertically -- just a little more room around the edges so you can use them both ways.
