It's time to vote! Below you'll see the batch of suggestions for our next batch of books to read together We need to narrow our choices down to four books, so you may vote for your top four choices in the poll list. Here are links to the books we are voting on:

    1. The Resisters by Gish Jen
    2. Cinnamon and Gunpowder by Eli Brown
    3. The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
    4. Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi
    5. A Long Petal of the Sea by Isabel Allende
    6. Warlight by Michale Ondaajte
    7. The Ten Thousand Doors of January
    8. The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler

I will leave voting open until March 15th and whichever four books have the most votes will be the next batch of books we can read together! :agree

Voted.. Seems to be a theme of adventure found through books themselves in quite a few of these.. I'm all for that! :D Added a bunch to my TBR list regardless if we read them here or not.. :giggle

I will say, Homegoing is AMAZING and really helped re-form and correct some of my personal biases. I absolutely would have voted for it so we could discuss it here, but I couldn't narrow it down enough to give up some of the others, haha!

It was a really tough choice this time. There were several others I would have liked to vote for.

Hmmm wanted to vote for 5! Tough decision.
I read The Midnight Library earlier in the year, I enjoyed it. Gave it 4/5 stars.

Cast my vote. A couple of the books aren’t available at our library yet but most are. I love our book club. There are so many books I have read that I never would have known about if it weren’t for the recommendations here, not just the ones we select to read but the other choices too I often read.

I read a Long Petal of the Sea earlier this year. Very good. Isabel Allende is a favorite author of mine.
